    look who shows up
who's defending him? The angle shown is inconclusive and the only thing his saliva hit is the ground. Regardless of intentions no harm was done.....case closed.

I wouldn't worry about it Pekerman, Tesco always shows up when he finds some reason to have a pop at Messi (he doesn't score enough goals, he's always injured, etc), perhaps he would like Messi to be more like that model of good behaviour Wayne Rooney. :D

I love how we are overlooking this just because the spit did not connect.
It was disgusting display, I would rather have him swing at the gym then what he did

Messi does just what is needed to forget all this crap. Keep on scoring and playing well. Once again he scores coming off the bench.

His 4th Champions League goal in his 4th match 2 of those coming off the bench. I'm sure he has one of the best goal averages based on minutes played.

So far this season he has:

10 goals and 7 assists in 12 matches. If he doesn't get injured I don't see why he won't have a 20/20 season.

Agreed with both of you. He's young and shit happens. Being that he is the smart players many of us think he is, he should learn and grow from this. He isn't the first nor will he be the last.

That video is conclusive NYC. He got baited and he bit. Duda is a seasoned veteran compared to Lionel and he used that guile to his advantage. Watch the exchange on the video before the spitting incident and it's pretty clear Duda got onto Messi's tits. It was stupid and a byproduct of his youth. At least it didn't happen in a World Cup final no?

    Great isn't it:D

first tesco argues that tevez is not good enough to play as a starter then keeps n insisting that messi would be a very injury prone player because of GHD and now this........

Anyways, spit or not he still is the most talented player out there for me....

EDIT: almsot forgt, he is miles away better than your ronney

He didn't argue that Tevez isn't good enough to play as a starter, he stated that in relation to the fact that Ronaldo, Rooney and Berbatov are also playing very well. Ronaldo and Berbatov are obvious starters over Carlitos due to position played so it's up against Rooney. I personally favor Tevez but how do you justify benching Rooney when he's playing as good as he is? He's also arguably the face of ManU.

Like I said, I favor Carlitos but miles better is a little over the top:rolleyes:

Re: Leo Messi news and Comments

I wouldn't say negative as much as biased to a degree. With his arguments about who should be starting for ManU, in some respects I agree with him. Carlitos is not a gol mouth striker like Berbatov nor is he the wide player Ronaldo is. Would he be a drop off in quality in those particular positions? I'd say so but he and Rooney are interchangeable. Personally Carlitos needs to be at a club where he could be more of the main focus.

Teso recently claimed that a bad Rooney is better than Tevez or some crap like that on the ManU forum. He's clearly a tool.

I never read that but I don't doubt it either. I've got my biases but I do a pretty good job of keeping things in perspective.

that guy is a hater, when one guy had messi as better in the player vs. player against ronaldo his response was utter rubish.......

    he seriously is a hater

but back on topic: does anyone here think he could win the fifa player of the year award? I would vote for ronaldo becasue manU won the champions league and the epl.....

Like I said it is the typical media bs blown out of proportion...and Moishe you cannot draw any conclusions from that video.

just ignore Teso...never adds anything to the discussion and resort to childish one-liners whenever cornered. I don't mind his bias, everybody is, football is completely subjective and players could be judged on numerous aspects. However he is a pretentious prick who claims to know everything when in fact he is the most biased poster out there. He has the mentality of a 12 years old ManU fan from China and his arguments are circular and repetitive...no openess whatsoever.

I agree with you because it was pretty clear to me in that video that he intended on spitting on him.

If you guys think that messi didn't spit on him than why isn't he coming out and saying he didn't do anything wrong, when it was all over the papers the next day? and why is Guardiola going to fine him and maybe sit him one game if he didn't do anything?

Re: Leo Messi news and Comments

I am not saying that he didn't intend to spit on him. I dont know/don't care. All I am saying is the angle shown in the video doesn't prove anything. If you hypothetically take this to a court as evidence you will be laughed at.

PS: anybody seen Cronaldo kicking Brown right now in the Celtic match :D now that was crystal clear. ;)

I said that in direct relation to this season. My exact point being that a poor Rooney has offered exactly the same as Tevez this season.

Thanks for trying to initially have my back though Moishe.

I agree about the part about the press Teso. They seem to have a love affair with Messi. Everything he does is exaggerated into the second coming
