Sent from a suite in Seahawks Stadium at 12:30--

From the looks of warmups, the lineup appears to be:

    keller
    cherundulo--pope--bocanegra--convey
    klein--O'brien--mastroeni--beasley
    McBride--Kirovski

Of course, I have poor vision, so take that for what it's worth.

Otherwise, it's a very pleasant day in Seattle, the field looks gorgeous (as it should have looked when the thing was built--real grass not the fake stuff) and there ought be around 15-20K in attendance. Bigass flag hanging from the box after goals will be us. cheers.

I think its safe to guess that Landon Donovan will play AT LEAST a half. Thing is, I imagine him playing the first half.

I most heartily agree. O'Brien has been the only bright spot in a disgusting (and boring) game.

I think the newness of the turf is screwing things up. But this has been a crap half. Kirovski and Klien have looked like crap.

Man, I don't know if it's the poor turf or the lack of prep time or taking the opponent too lightly or what, but that was the ugliest 45 minute performance I've seen from the US in a long, long time...

My suggestion for the second half: Take out Kirovski and Klein. Put Hedjuk in at left back, Donovan up top, and move Convey to right mid. Around the sixtieth minute sub out McBride for Buddle.

No rain at all this morning. Typically, when they put grass over turf, the pitch doesn't hold very well, for whatever reason. I think folks who remember the 94 WC in Detroit remember that, as well as the costa rica qualifier in portland. Unfortunately, Paul Allen and Co. botched what was otherwise a well-done stadium by putting in field turf to cater to our lovely american football team.

As for the game: yikes. Kirovski really deserves to come off, but considering it's a friendly, he will probably stay on. I'd really like to see Buddle and Martino, as I've heard great things about them from preseason reports. Obviously, everyone wants to see donovan, but we'll see. and I agree--attendance looks poor, but I'd still say around 15-20.

Kirovski is freagin tits on a snake... freagin useless... i've had it with him... he just may be one of those players with ridiculous talent who just seems to be snakebit when he puts on the U.S. jersey...

    Klein has disappointed as well...

Convey has been beaten positionally a couple of times but he does pretty well going forward... his crossing has left a lot to be desired...

Kirovski also seems to disrupt things for his running mate (in this case McBride)...

Overall a pretty disappointing first half for the U.S.... i'd like to see some fresh faces in there for the 2nd half... Donovan for Kirovski... Martino for Convey (O'Brien back to left back)... maybe Buddle on for McBride... Garcia for Pope...

    Huh
Agree with everyone about Kirovski. He has shown nothing.
Cherudolo is looking good. I hope to see more of him.
What is with Beas? Until the last five minutes the attack seemed to die with the ball at his feet.

I think Bobby will only get better at left back since he doen't play it for his club team and a position like that relies on expierence as well as athleticism. I think he belongs in the midfield where he is more dangerous, but I trust Bruce's judgement on this one.
