Is the team that finished the regular MLS season under contract to play in this game? And do you play Santino and how much? Comments......

We will be 5 days into the "silly season" where all kinds of roster moves are allowed again. I expect a few guest players, and maybe Tino as a 2nd half sub. It would be nice to see Tyson given a chance to guest in this game. I'd like to think the team would do something to recognize Mike Amman's commitment to soccer in the States prior to the game.

Expect lots of guest players. Anyone DC United is thinking of trading for or possibly signing could be a candidate. Thus...Jorge Rodriguez might be a good person (to also get some Salvadoran supporters cheering for us) as would Dante Washington.

Remember 2 years ago we took the tour of El Salvador and had a couple of Brazilians on the side. And no--I don't think I'd play Quaranta at all. Why push it at this point? There is nothing at stake--you know the guy can play. He gains nothing by trying to be ready for this match (other than getting booed in his home stadium).

Yeah, lets let Tino heal completely. Convey was rushed back from his surgery and took him half the season to get up to speed this year.

Sit Tino for this one. As for guest players? Bring back GAZZA!!!!!

Note to Gazza: After the match, sodas are on me, let me take care of downing the shots. Which by the way won't be that many if Mrs. Brother is there...lol

I think Tino will be alright by then, considering we could have put him in a game more than a month prior to the Aguila match.

He could really use the game experience before the U-20 (I think it's that age group) Championships later on.

Since this is after the season perhaps we can have some stand-ins so that the real DC United doesn't get hurt.

You have to have the solid support in the back, right?

At least revelation put me at forward, realizing that was NOT me at the All-Star game that missed the empty netter during the delay! :)

That lineup works for me, even though I just switched back to Center Back for my team, I think I could net a couple against Aguila. ;)

Don't worry, I'll be coming off in the 5th minute with a re-aggravated ACL tear.

Of course, I start myself! Geez, it's my dream (that and a coin operated Guiness tap...). I was seriously considering you and then I thought of all the others I excluded...BudWiser, Sachin, DaveBrother, sormun, K, JH6.....all quality there. I really think we could field multiple teams but...had to go with somebody... Sorry, nothing personal (I swear! Don't vote against me in the Moderator feedback!) :)

Spooky! I had the same thought to make sormun our coach...

As for the point of this thread, the actual line up between DC United and Aguila, I would guess:

    First half:

    ---Rimando---

    --Reyes--Pope--ITT--

    Olsen--Etch--Williams--Convey-- Villegas (Mapp)

    --Moreno--Q2--

    Second half:

    ---McGinty---

    --Reyes--Pope--Prideaux--

    Olsen--Etch--Chino--Convey--Mapp

    --Curtis--Q2--

Revelation for left mid and moderator of the year!

Actually Sachin and JH6 should start ahead of me to.

I'm not sure of this but Quaranta and Convey might not be available due to training camp for their U-20 WC qualifiers during November..

Is there any way to confirm this?

If there out, it changes the lineup somewhat..

Dang, I totally missed this discussion until now. This is quite a fearsome lineup.

Lanky - good luck getting that defense organized.

I like Thamlin at forward. Rumor has it that he has that he good at getting in there and mixing it up, and has a knack for evading the grasp of secur.... er, defenders.

I like me at right mid. I can do my hair like Villegas, with the barettes and big poofy pigtails. Or maybe corn rows.
