All viewing Parties for US Games, all USMNT games, are at: Captain Jacks 140 N 12th St, Lincoln, NE Game on every TV, with sounds, Drink specials every game. Come one and all.
So, am I correct in assuming that there will be a viewing party this coming Wednesday for the big game? Don't want to make the hour drive to downtown Lincoln only to discover that there's nothing going on....
I live in Omaha, would love to get together for the world cup next summer for all Nebraska U.S. supporters
i forgot to say a huge thanks to you guys for the honduras game. me and a buddy left another friend's reception in lincoln and sped to omaha, with the groom running out to the parking lot begging us to stay. he was sure that the local bars were having the game... yeah right. captain jacks was a blast, great MNT fans, great songs, and lots of high fives and chest bumps after pavon shanked it. Thanks again for letting me join your party.
Just a question for you Cornhusker types... It looks as if I'll be moving to Lincoln in the summer (MrsHardHat is interviewing for a professorship at UNL) and I was wondering if this Captain Jack's place shows any EPL or MLS games during the season. I'd check out their website, but it's blocked on the government computers over here in the 'stan. Thanks for any info, even if it is for a Sam's Army guy.
It looks like the Slovakia game is on the same time as the Nebraska v Kansas game, will Capn Jacks have both?
Last post 11-11-09 ... really? Anyway what is going on in Lincoln this Saturday ... anyone ... Bueller?
From their website: I still hope it's accurate; I plan on traveling from Omaha down there. The US will play England in their first game of the World Cup, and for those of you who can’t make it to South Africa or KC, we’re planning a huge viewing party in a parking lot in the Haymarket. Its the lot at the foot of the Saltdogs pedestrian bridge at 8th and S. We are gauging how interested everyone is, so please respond showing your interest level. Some info: Time 12pm-4pm (Kickoff at 1:30) Cost: FREE Kegs and limited bar available (less free) 3-4 Big Screens showing the game In case of inclement weather, there is a tailgate shed with big screens nearby Bring a frisbee/soccerball/whatever. Everyone loves daydrinking. We hope to make this a whole Lincoln community event, so spread the word and invite everyone.
