Everything will be decided this weekend. All of the top three teams will play on Saturday at 19:40 Jerusalem Standard Time.

Channel 2 has decided to air the Maccabi Tel-Aviv match. Channel 10 has decided to take the Maccabi Haifa match. Sport5+ also has the right to air a match this weekend, but it looks as though they will back down because of the lack of interest in Hapoel Tel-Aviv's last match.

The Liga Leumit (First Division) is also a close race for the second and final promotion spot. Hapoel Jerusalem, Maccabi Herzliya, and Bnei Sakhnin are all vying for second place and a ticket to Ligat haAl. Channel 33 is checking the possiblity of showing all three matches live at the same time.

This is a very interesting year for Maccabi Haifa. First they were the first Israeli team to qualify for the UEFA Champions League. Then they had fallen into hard times in league play.

Major player changes are being talked about. Giovanni Rosso has received an offer from French club Auxerre. Raimondas Zutautas has been told that he will be released after the season and possibly Nenad Prelja too. Meanwhile the Ghanian defender on trial at Maccabi Haifa turned out to be a bust and he will not be signed.

1,500 tickets have been sold by Ashdod Sport Club to Maccabi Haifa fans. The ticket booths are not even expected to be open this weekend.

What a bummer for me! I have to be far away this weekend. Hell, I'll be in Eilat far away from any football action. Maybe I'll see Whitney Houston though?

Well, it wasn't quite like the last match of the Scottish Premier League season- with both Mac. TA and Mac. Haifa winning easily, Haifa would have had to push forward for another 30 or so goals to even make it interesting...

    Disagree

I think that Saturday's matches were the most exciting ever. I was driving back from Eilat on Saturday, I had already missed the first twenty minutes. I put on the radio and they would skip back from Ashdod to Ramat Gan. First I felt so good, 4-0 to Haifa and 0-0 between Petah Tikva and Tel-Aviv. THen we made it five nil and I was leaping for joy. I stopped at Yotvata to buy some chocolate milk at half time. Then the games resumed. Maccabi Tel-Aviv scored but I thought everything would be okay, then they were saying that Ashdod scored moving the trophy from Haifa to Tel-Aviv. Haifa tried to battle back but then Tel-Aviv put in another goal. Then Edri of Petah Tikva missed an open goal. Oh the excitement.

Congratulations to Maccabi Tel-Aviv. Eventhough you only won on goals.
