Maccabi Ahi Nazareth 2-2 SC Ashdod
The underdogs of Nazareth got on to an early lead with a Assi Tubi goal in the 31st minute. Shuki Nagar passed back to the Ashdod 'keeper who didn't realize that Nagar had passed to him, so he picked up the ball and Nazareth were given an indirect free kick. Alon Kaplan put away a Ulianov cross to give Nazareth a 2-0 advantage. In the second half Haim Revivo assisted on both goals. First Shai Holtzman scored off a give and go with Revivo. Then Revivo assisted again to tie the match.

    Hapoel Tel-Aviv 0-0 Maccabi Haifa
Maccabi Haifa had the match ripped out of their hands by a bad officiating call. Alon Harazi headed in a corner kick in the 85th minute. Rami Halis cleard the ball and the official said that the ball did not fully cross the line. Instant replays on television showed that the ball did indeed cross the line. Bloomfield stadium was entirely sold out.

Bnei Sakhnin 1-2 Hapoel Be'er Sheva
Lior Asulin gave Sakhnin the lead but goals from Rami Eliyahu and Belsing Cocu ensured Be'er Sheva of a perfect 2-0 start to their season.

Hapoel Petah Tikva 1-1 Maccabi Petah Tikva
The Petah Tikva derby ended in a draw. The match was intense as the match official handed out 11 yellow cards. Manor Hassan scored in the 58th minute to give Hapoel the lead, but Gal Alberman scored in the 75th minute to give both sides their first points of the season.

    Maccabi Netanya 1-0 Beitar Jerusalem
The woes keep on coming for Beitar Jerusalem as they go down to a 21st minute Guy Tzarfati goal.

Bnei Yehuda Tel-Aviv vs. Maccabi Tel-Aviv
Match to be played tonight at the haTikva Quarter Stadium.

    Less than 20 minutes

In just a short time the match between Maccabi Tel-Aviv and Bnei Yehuda Tel-Aviv at the haTikva Quarter Stadium.

Some sad news, somewhere on the highway between Binyamina and Pardes Hana, Shimon Turjeman of Maccabi Haifa's youth team lost control of his car, killing himself and injuring two passengers that were with him. The hearts of this forum go out to the Turjeman family at this difficult time.

    Boring

    Bnei Yehuda Tel-Aviv 0-0 Maccabi Tel-Aviv

What a boring and uneventful match. Ends in a scoreless draw after Hezi Shirazi missed the only real chance of the match.

    KYHS,

Good news! I will be in Israel for a week in November (the 15th is the match date).

But I'll likely be in Jerusalem. So how do I get to Ashdod (assuming tickets are available) for the match with Maccabi Haifa?

Otherwise, I'll guess I will somehow get to Ramat Gan for the Maccabi TA-Beitar match. Cabs must be expensive.

    Bus lines

There are alot of "what ifs". It is very hard to plan to go to a match in November because from now til then alot of stuff can happen. For instance, if the game starts before the Sabbath ends then you wouldn't make it on a bus to the matches.

There is a possibility that one of the matches will be on Sunday or Monday. If so, you must keep tabs through the internet. Then you can take from Jerusalem, the Egged bus 438 at the Central Station. This will dop you of at the Central station in Ashdod and there you can ask which bus goes to the stadium. I don't think that the signs have any English in Ashdod, all of Ashdod's neigborhoods are just marked by letters, they don't have names.

If your heading to a Tel-Aviv area match, take Egged bus line number 405. From the Central Bus Station in Tel-Aviv you can take the 44 to Jaffa and you'll see Tel-Aviv fans on the bus just get off with them and follow them to the stadium.
