how come no one said anything when Tigres or Xolols were playing with like 7 foreigners in their lineup? oh wait same reason the multipriopiedad thing is ok now: its only bad when America is the one doing it.
They were also singled out... And it's more hilarious when the club who claims to be the biggest and best in Mexico does this . Hopefully they change their name to Club South America to at least be more accurate.
FWIW, Pelaez brought all those players. Matosas had no saying there and he certainly didn't ask for those players. Matosas would have rather work with what he had. I certainly don't like having too many foreigners and naturalizados, but we ought to have the strongest team. Just hope Matosas disregards the cantera.
Wow, how many foreign born players do they have already? Honestly it's understandable for clubs to do this from time to time. I support the youth system but I suspect that from time to time a club will have gaps in youth development where no quality players are coming through. The problem with this story is that América actually had a really successful season in the youth ranks. They probably set the title as their #1 objective next season, which would explain why they don't want to take any risks.
Wanna know how Argentina and Brazil can start and play 20 year olds? Because they don't buy the old shitty players that have been recycled through the years, they sell them to Mexico.
Measuring ourselves against the crappier South American leagues is another reason why we suck so much now. Before, we'd consider the Argies and Brazilians our main rivals in the Libertadores. Nowadays it's Bolivar and the Colombian teams.

I`m excited about the upcoming season. America is playing CCL. See if America lives up to the hype. Also want to see how Roque Santa Cruz does at Cruz Azul.
