It’s a good conversation to have, just that some of it doesn’t apply to us anymore. The stadium fills up when the team is doing well and I think usually pulls in attendance numbers of at least 20k. That’s partly because of promos (2x1, go support the female team and you get free entrance to the main team, tuzocio, etc). Our thing has never been ticket sales. Martinez es tuzo de corazón and so long as he can run Grupo Pachuca to the benefit of the team he’s going to do it. Although I do remember an interview like 3 years ago where he said his long term plan is to run Grupo Pachuca and have someone else run the club.
LOL that disrespect. That’s the Croatian league breh. According to wiki he scored 35 pepinos in that league so take it with a grain of salt.
Well, they have the attendance but I are they spending $$$? He mentions clubs should try to have attendances of 20,000+ and an average spending of US$15* (ticket+snacks/beer/whatever). He pulled that number out of his ass but following that just as a parameter we have: http://www.superlider.mx/31-agosto-...-llevan-a-sus-estadios-liga-mx-apertura-2017/ And the average ticket: http://soyreferee.com/futbol/futbol...oletos-mas-caros-y-mas-baratos-del-futbol-mx/ It's old dated since it's from 2015 but well, it gives us an idea.
@sidspaceman do you know anything of this guy?
plays LB....
Dammit we don't need a LB... Also don't expect Pachuca to light it up in the Young Prospect thread anymore. I've never been anti-foreigner. But I don't think we should be importing right now unless the player is going to make a significant difference. We have most positions except striker minimally covered so it's kind of a waste.
Agreed... There was no need for another LB... Pachuca already have Manny, and from the youth ranks there's Edwin Lara who made his debut against Querétaro in the Copa... My biggest fear is that he grows disappointed with Pachuca and rejoins the nads... .@mexicoworldcup: Read Madrid defender Paolo Medina & Pachuca defender Edwin Lara are Mexico's top young prospects https://t.co/Q3PaCT0lUD— Duncan Tucker (@DuncanTucker) October 5, 2016
Da fuq? Why the hell are Pachuca so fixated in him? @LaMascara, @Salmos... That means Juanjo, and De la Rosa won't get many minutes... They should have went for Cavallini instead... He's a stud... #MomenTíosNuestro delantero renovó su contrato con Pachuca. ¡Venga Franco Jara!#ElÚnicoEnMi💙 pic.twitter.com/ah5DIIVyrH— Club Pachuca (@Tuzos) December 28, 2017
Who knows man. Poor guy has dealt with hella injuries and TBH it's not just his fault. He doesn't fit a one striker lineup at all. Who knows what sort of formation Alonso will use next season but we now have Honda, Guzman, Sagal, Aguirre, Pinche Tony, Jara, Chaco, Manneh, Walter Gonzalez, and Palacios. Sme are mids but with attacking characteristics. Don't think we really needed that many players in that area of the pitch. BTW @LaMascara The Columbus Crew roster thread has some useful comments about Manneh in the last 2 pages, in case you're wondering what their fans think of him. https://www.bigsoccer.com/threads/2017-season-roster-thread.2039276/page-63
Yea, most everyone would...but, he already knows France. Who wants to return home before it's all said and done? For Menez, France is his "returning to Mexico without success in Europe" if that makes any sense. Yes, France is in Europe obviously, but I feel Mexico carries a sense of adventure and unknown compared to staying in Europe. Choosing between home and Mexico and most likely knowing about Gignac's positive experience here... I think he chooses Mexico.
If France is his "returning to Mexico without success in Europe", going to Mexico would be his "going to the MMLS" move.
