Sweet, pleased with this move, he should get plenty of time and I think he's going to shine.

that is a fantastic deal, forest will be a promotion favorite with the financial backing they have. That said......so are Leicester on paper, and we know how that goes. They should finish no worse than playoff positions though, they have high expectations, great move for him.

That is a good piece of business for Forest. You get a 2nd division level starter on a free. I still feel that somewhere in there is a quality right back or right mid just waiting for his chance.

Well the good news is that he should have a chance to become a fixture at RB for this club. Now he just has to take that chance. I hope BEIN Sport keeps showing some championship level games.

They brought in Jara from West Brom when Hutchinson got injured, hes on a free now too.

Halford finished the season at right back, but I think he is seen more as a CB, particularly now the loanees for the centre back positions have gone.

Forest have a good side, and should be right up there. Davies' sides have a history of choking though. Hopefully the owner has learned to stop interfering too

Yep Halford ended up as their main RB last season and that is actually the postion he's played most in his career. However Halford can play a number of other positions (CB, CM, RW) comfortably and I think they see him as more useful to them as a CB, I wouldn't completely rule out Lichaj being used as a LB though.

Yeah, I could see that. Neither Harding or Collins are good enough, and a regular left back would free Cohen to move back into midfield where he is most effective

He will likely sign a contract in the coming days. Lichaj will do very well for Nottingham. He is a very good right back and I know he will do well in the championship.

Basically he's signed, sealed, and delivered. I'm actually quite excited for Eric. This is his opportunity; his break that he's been waiting for. I hope he takes full advantage. Forest are making moves to solidify themselves as promotion contenders and Eric could play a big role.

Friedel'sAccent bungadiri with this confirmation is a new thread in order? If someone wants to come up with something catchy for a new title I'm all for it but: 'Eric Lichaj at Nottingham Forest' will do fine as well.

2 years seems quite short, I'd have figured 3year contract would be more practicial

This sets him up just fine for his contract to expire at 26 just as he's entering his prime.

    Nice move! Thread title suggestions?

edit: I like chalaron 's suggestion.

Usually we wait until the club confirms it. We've been burned in situations like this before and, like any jilted lover, we're more cautious going forward.

Let's wait until it's official, and then I'm happy to use chalaron 's thread title.

I feel like I've finally accomplished something with my life. This deal better not fall through or I will be wallowing in a very deep pit of despair and self-loathing.
