A good deal of inflation is just vibes. But Milei has people believing, and China hopping in to capitalize on the movement. I really hope Argentina can right itself while at the same time avoiding Milei’s worst instincts.

How does rent control make sense when inflation is out of whack, unless it is tied to the inflation rate?

 

The peronistas are not very smart at economics.

 

They don't mention how prices were affected. Should we assume that they are rising at less than the inflation rate?

 

I would imagine they increased to market rate from what ever low artificial level they were in.
