Exequiel Palacios esquentadinho e mau perdedor... HorRIVER! Ahahahahah.... this is what they get for their manager cheating Grêmio last year.

Last-minute comeback for them last year... last-minute disaster for them this year.

    @Mengão86, parabéns!!!!!

River played better in the first half but not the second and you were far from dominating. Didn’t create anything other than defensive blunder goal. But keep telling yourself what you need to hear ;)

Lol, I think you view the game with fan eyes. Flamengo looked like they were about to concede all the time. Even during the second half every River counter looked dangerous (most wasted by Pratto, flamengo MVP). Flamengo never found the game except at the end when the river midfielders were tired and could not press anymore.

What you say about chances is nonsense. Flamengo had more on goal, but River more overall (5 to 2, 10 to 11). Just two minutes before the equalizer, Palacios missed a shot in front of the goal.

Everton Ribeiro missed one in front of goal too. Those counters were hardly dangerous at all. I’ve seen this team get attacked by counters all year and none of them were that threatening. Your game plan was to press us early and you found a goal. If it weren’t for that goal, you wouldn’t be sitting on the counter for most of the game. Once Diego came in the game, the tide turned. It’s convenient to say River got tired.

It's so weird to me, that both my teams are meeting again 38 years later at the intercontinental!

I'm tearing up just remembering 1981. And now this! Simply incredible, simply incredible!!

I'm hoping my nephew can relive what I lived back then.

One thing though, the quality difference is spectacular. 1981 Flamengo was way better than this (or is it nostalgia talking? ;) ). Today's Liverpool should kill this team, especially if they play like they did today.

VERY happy of this comeback, wore the jersey with pride today! Now let's go get that league and cross our fingers for the intercontinental!

Now I'm off to rewatch the 1981 match to hype up my nephew. :D

A well organized average team can neutralize the best teams if they commit to it defensively. Specially if they go up 1 x 0. Football was very different back then.

Guys, ignore the hostile. I speculate what happened today brings memories of when our national team beat theirs with a last-minute equalizer followed by PKs back in 2004. The sight of Gallardo standing there like a zombie, barely able to process Flamengo's comeback victory, is probably what made him come here - to denigrate Flamengo's historic achievement.

He really shouldn't be talking, because South American continental titles in both NT and club levels went to our country this year.

@Mengão86 and @StrokingMonkeys, celebrate all night. I'm going to drink some beer tonight and part of that is for you and your team.

Time came out flat in the first half and credit to River for defending well and forcing misplaced passes. The goal was a killer in terms of tactics. Gallardo came out to stifle us and find the kind of goal they scored. Arão whiffed at that ball and it got threw for Borre to knock it home.

Second half we had better quality possession but not a clear cut chance until Everton missed the sitter after that sequence with BH and Gabigol. I thought Everton hit it weak and their goalie guessed right. Diego came in and showed more raça than he had most of the first half of the year. Gerson wasn’t doing much with passes this game and only created something off some dribbles. Some passes on the backs of fullbacks and BH’s speed found some room and created chances.

Definitely need a better game to beat Liverpool seeing it was almost not good enough to get a result today.

It's not convenient, it's reality. Didn't you see that River players were "biting" everywhere for 60 minutes and then stopped? In the first goal Pratto loses a ball in attack and they take like ********ing forever to track back despite Bruno Henrique held the ball for several seconds. Diego being subbed in was a coincidence (he didn't participate in either goal from what I remember).

I mean, your team deserves the title sure but calling River (a team that never resigns attack against any opponent and that has 4 copas) "time pequeno" is dumb, with all respect.

You should know better than look past the SF of the CWC :ROFLMAO:

But if they face Liverpool, it will be a different game. Liverpool will go down. 2 x 0.

I know you're the biggest argie hater here, so I don't give two shits about your opinion.
I bet you were waiting for this all year since your shitty club lost to an argie minnow.
