Lol, if we buy wisely, yes. Flo cost a half a million less the City paid for Guehi, Semenyo and Cherki combined. Maybe Iraola can identify players like Rayan, Khroupi etc.
I want us to bring Harvey back in for 2 simple reasons - he's a hell of a player, we need to build bench strength, and he loves LFC. OK 3 reasons.
But if none them end up good enough for Liverpool, and Diomande ends up being one of the best players in the world, was it worth it?
There is a world where you go get Diomande and Adeyemi instead of Barcola (and Diomande). get Baz Toure. Promote Will Wright. go after Stiller instead of Wharton and keep Jones. get Migueza for free. Etc etc.
Ali,Marma, Woody. Bradley Frimpong , new rb , VVD, Gomez , Leoni , Jacquet ,New cb , Kerkez , Tsimkas Grav , Dom, Nyoni , Wirtz , New midf, Macca, New rw , Isak , Hugo, Gakpo , Rio , new lw. Theres 25 not counting Chiesa , Jones , Endo and of course some of those may leave .
I think that’s pretty accurate. There is a strong argument that we need to sign 3 forwards. We might not see Ekitike next season, and the club are being very careful not to overplay Rio. At the very least, one of the wingers we sign needs to be capable of playing through the middle. I also hope that we sell Mac Allister and get an upgrade. If Jones also leaves, that means two new midfielders in.
Tsimi isn't confirmed (soon, I hope) and the Ali to Juve rumours won't stop. Stories saying Bradley's in jury is even worse than thought. I would bet $$ that Mac is moved on.
I think it shows that 5 new signings may plug many of the gaps. But of course the club may decide to move more guys on and perhaps sign a couple more too.
The report is that he gave the green light to PSG and Liverpool and it’s up to the clubs to come to an agreement with Leipzig. Far from done deal.
lololol - I think this was the plan all along. The "can't agree to bonuses" seems like a disingenuous thing.
