    Could we pull this off?

    GK: Alisson, Marmadashvili
    LB: Kerkez, Tsimikas
    CB: VvD, Leoni, Jacquet, Gomez
    RB: Bradley, Frimpong
MF: Szoboslai, Gravenberch, Bouaddi, Wirtz, Nyoni
    W: Diomande, Barcola, Ngumoha
    CF: Isak, Ekitike

    Sold: MacAllister, Gakpo, Jones

Gomez, Frimpong, Szoboslai, Wirtz, Ekitike can cover more than one position.

Not far off! Names may change but makes sense positional. Maybe another CB?

If we are playing 433, i think we are still short one MF and one attacker

I saw Diomande play last night and completely understand the hype. Can't recall last time I saw a winger so effective on RW and LW. Guy is a gem.

Seems like it's us vs PSG. Fingers and toes crossed, but I'm not gonna count any chickens.

Isn't it harsh one off year and he should be sold? It's hard knowing who to keep and sell given the season Liverpool had but I guess what I am asking is what about MAC puts him in the sell category so rapidly from fans?

Understand the confusion, but it'd be kind to say that last season Mac was even 50% of the player from the 24-25 year. In way too many games he was, frankly, little more than a passenger and the game passed him by repeatedly. He could barely run above a trot and his tackling was somewhere between non-existent and dreadful.

Conventional speculation (I like that phrase :) ) is that he's been carrying an injury. If that's correct and it can be addressed, no way should we release him. If not, keeping him is a real risk.

Mac's form last season brought back bad memories of Fabinho's shockingly sudden drop off in form for a lot of LFC supporters. It really looked like someone had kidnapped Mac and replaced him with another very out of shape player. Something is definitely wrong.

I deffo agree. But who'd have thought we'd see Fab coming on for Brazil in the WC again?

Be interesting to see how Mac does for the Argies.

MacAllister had undefined surgery in the off season last July/August. There has yet to be an explanation of the whats and the whys of that surgery.

I'm starting to see that as a red herring. He's been past fit to play by LFC and the Argie medics, so he can't be carrying anything serious. I'm starting to lean toward the Fab-like Form Falling Off A Cliff syndrome.

A lot of miles in those legs, and not much time off in the off-seasons.

I was shocked he was on the roster - let alone playing.

says a lot about their current pool of players.

I’ve been banging on this drum for a while now. Diomande is a superstar. Desperate for us to sign him.

Absolutely. I really hope we get him but there's no point getting excited at all.

GUimares should be doing the job of he and one of Casemiro / Fab (both of these guys are past international prime levels), and allowing some playmaker to get in there and run the show beside Paqueta

    It's mostly a financial decision.

Right now, he still has a good reputation and time left on his contract.

In view of his worrying drop off in form, the $$$ we can get now for selling him is a lot more than his value to us as a player. IMHO.

I'd have no problem with him staying if he was like Jones, a general, week-in, week-out, back-up to Gravenberch, Sboz/wirtz, and a new player sitting deeper. But he might not be happy with that as a big name player

Roman has posted that we've signed Victor Munoz - currently with the Spain WC team - 22 y.o. winger (either side maybe?) plays for Villareal.

"Newcastle in advanced talks for days but #LFC enter the deal, verbally agree terms with Muñoz and activate €40m release clause."

Munoz being reported by others now ..... and saying it's a 6-year contract.

edit: If we did hijack a deal Newcastle were close to - the fume on Tyneside will be overwhelming!! :D

The more I've read, the more he sounds like a younger Diaz. Fast as hell, great dribbling, works very hard. Plus can play across the forward line.

My mistake - I said he's from Villareal, it's Osasuna.
