OK, let's cut to the chase ....

Keita played some minutes yesterday, so how long is he out for now?

Ha! I'm at the 'who cares' stage now with him.

I suppose he could potentially play an important role for the rest of the season IF he can stay fit since we're so thin in midf but whatever happens I really think his time with us is pretty much over.

However best scenario I'd be happy to see him included in some deal in Jan for an incoming player though I'd say that's a very long shot.

a 1-for-1 trade for Jude might work.

A one for one for Zaha might be more realistic.

I'm fine with never seeing him play another minute for us.

I'd love for him to get 100% fit, healthy and reliable. we've seen tiny bursts of what he can do - and he can do a lot.

but, not holding my breath of course. smart money is on him being elsewhere in the summer. or earlier if we make a move in the market next month.

I'm done with him. Great player potentially, totally unreliable physically. Hope he can thrive in a less physically challenging environment somewhere. I'm just hoping and praying he can stay healthy long enough for us to get some value for him.

This was a good run out for the Reds.

Salah was in top form and scored. Joel Matip got the assist with one of his classic runs. Thiago was in top form and scored.

Bajcetic continues to look the part as at 6.

Darwin played about 20 minutes and scored twice. Bobby Clark, what a ball.

Ben Doak came on for the last 10 and absolutely lit it up. Hit the post, assisted Darwin, almost scored again late on. 16 years old. He just gets the ball and runs straight towards the goal with it. Very exciting prospect.

Doak will need very careful management but we definitely know how to do that. I expect he'll be out on loan next season.

    how did Keita play, Suss?

He came on the last 30 minutes. I can confirm that he still exists and is still a football player.

He looked fine. Will be interesting to see if he can give us of some good performances between now and when he leaves in a free in the summer. We need all the help we can get in midfield.

Trent Alexander-Arnold, Fabinho and Alisson Becker made their returns to the AXA Training Centre on Monday as Liverpool geared up their preparations for this week's clash with Manchester City.

The trio had all been handed a week's rest after their exploits in the World Cup had seen their respective nations, Brazil and England, reach the quarter-final stages of the competition.

After nearly two weeks in the Middle East, a 33-man Liverpool squad returned to Merseyside over the weekend after competing at the Dubai Super Cup during the Premier League's six-week hiatus.
