    Addo is old news

Joe Addo re-signed with the team weeks ago. Nice to see people keeping track.

    Re: Addo is old news

Bradley is quoted in the article as saying that the Addo situation is "still up in the air." Good to see people keeping track.....its obvious from several articles in yesterday's papers that Addo is not with the team and not yet re-signed.

The idiot quotient is reaching an all time high on these boards...

    Sweep this

There were reports that Addo had restructured his contract a few weeks back and was due back. He also wasn't one of the players removed from the MetroStars roster last week when unrenewed contract players were removed. So take your sarcasm and shove it up your A$$.

The only thing "several articles" proved was that Addo wasn't at practice. Things may have changed now and maybe Bradley has his eyes on someone new but Addo had re-signed.

Thank you for contributing to the idiot quotient on these boards Sweeper.

    Re: Sweep this

Yep, youre absolutely right, I guess the Star-Ledger was wrong too:

    http://www.nj.com/sports/ledger/index.ssf?/base/sports-0/104434381647750.xml

Besides the three national team players, Gaven, defender Joe Addo and midfielder Richie Williams were absent. Gaven is with the U.S. Under-17 team in Florida and won't join the team until at least May. Addo and Williams are in the process of renegotiating their contracts but are expected to join the team soon.

Damn Daily Record is a rag too, they obviously need to hire JerzyRebel as the new beat reporter:

Three of the MetroStars’ established stars — striker Clint Mathis, goalkeeper Tim Howard and newly acquired defender Eddie Pope — missed practice on Monday. They are in Florida with the United States national team, preparing for Saturday’s match with Argentina. Draft pick Eddie Gaven scored a goal for the under-17 team against Costa Rica on Wednesday. The 16-year-old Hamilton native is expected to remain in residence with the youth national team until late summer.

    http://www.dailyrecord.com/sports/03/02/04/sports9-metrostars.htm

Middletown native Richie Williams, who the MetroStars reacquired from D.C., was noticeably absent from Monday’s practice. The veteran defensive midfielder has not signed a new contract, but is working out on his own and expected to report soon. Joe Addo was also missing, and Bradley said the veteran defender’s “situation is up in the air.”

Well, I guess you know more then two jounralists who were at the practice and everyone else on this board. Your sarcasm would have been funny if you're point had been valid. Thanks for playing, try again.

    Listen Weeper

I read a story saying he re-signed a month ago. This is why I was puzzled by Bradley's comments. I didn't refute what Bradley said, just found it puzzling that no one brought up the fact that he had been retained.

What has me a bit confused is the situation with Balboa, A. Williams and Paule. The team chose not to re-sign them and thus those players were taken off the MetroStars roster. Addo was not and neither was Williams. This tells me that the team intends on keeping them but has to iron out it's other moves first before committing to them. The point is that both should be with the team shortly, as the Ledger states in its story.

And for the record, the Daily Record is a rag. And Sweeper, wasn't it you that was ripping the reporters who cover the MetroStars just yesterday? Now you use them to support your argument? Make up your mind.

    The Midget Middle

Mario Rosas and Richie Williams in central midfield. The Metros are going to need Yao Ming to play behind them for the team to win any balls in the air. LOL

    Re: Listen Weeper

And now you begin to backup and re-create new meaning to your statements......

No one ever made mention that Addo wasn't attempting to re-sign with the team, so you can put that needle away.

Second, the Record may not be a large newspaper, but it is far from a rag. It neither runs rumors or hearsay. Its soccer column is capably written by Jane Havesy; never once has she written anything inaccurate or faulty.

Third, I can choose to rip the media for their content, it has nothing to do with its accuracy, big difference there. I suppose you're bringing up this point to try to make up for your previouis blunders in this thread and assume an air of superiority over me after you were proven wrong, but you're a moron, its not going to work. I commented on the content, a point very astutely made by Vistula. The fact that several papers ran similar contents on the Addo situation only re-inforces its credability. In your world, however, it must mean nothing. So continue to warp your own world a little more there fella.

You know Sweeper, I already thought you were an idiot based on your little logo but your comments on this thread have now confirmed my suspicions. I remember reading that Addo had re-signed a few weeks back, might have been in Northjersey.com, and this is why I found it odd that people were writing about his contract situation. This is not me "re-creating new meaning for my statements", this is me clarifying for the idiot (YOU) who needed it clarified. I was mistaken about Addo's contract status, that doesn't take away from the fact that you're a prick.

Ha ha, so the fact that I have an avatar of MetroFlip in a compromising situation makes me an idiot? I see.....it all makes so much sense now......

And you're a dolt, plain and simple. You can't admit you were wrong, your latest post is the closest admission of the sort. Buck up old chap, it happens to the best of us.

And if me prooving you wrong after you swagger in with such confidence, especially after a comment like "Nice to see people keeping track" makes me a prick in your eyes, then so be it. You've just lost all credability on these boards. I suggest getting another username.......

Calm down guys. It doesn't make one bit of difference in the big scheme of things if Addo signed, or will sign. It's unimportant.

    You're right Red Card

I'll cease the war of words if Sweeper changes his logo with a picture of Sasa Curcic.

    Re: You're right Red Card

Why is it, that as I (a midwesterner) read your driblle back and forth, that the voice in my mind was with a thick "joysee" accent?

Can't all Metrostars fans just get along?

And I must say to Sweeper....

A little unprofessional handling of the situation for a moderator! Tisk, Tisk....

Addo isnt going to help, or hurt, your quest for a championship, so who gives a $hit?

Jeez Weeper, can't let things go

The wacky logo doesn't make you an idiot. The holier than thou attitude does.

You "proving me wrong" doesn't make you a prick. You calling me an idiot for being wrong makes you a prick. You're recent quote telling me to buck up because being wrong happens "to the best of us" makes you an even bigger prick for calling me an idiot to begin with.

How did I "come close" to admitting I was wrong. The phrase "I was mistaken" appears in my previous post. I think anyone knowing the language can gather that it was an admission of error.

As for me changing my board name for being wrong, that's basically saying that in your more than 4,000 posts you've never been wrong. Why do I find that hard to believe?

Changing my name would also cancel out the whole point of me getting into this tussle with you, to up my post count ;-)
