Yes, yes, yes ole, ole Eddie. What's that 6 goals? Remember those that are coming back to the Lewis flock that the man can get pushed off the ball by a small flea. I still hope he gets another shot at the Prem but one would think with the fee PNE paid and his wages a bit on the high side that he's not going anywhere. PNE just need to get Fuller, Cresswell, the Greek, and Lewis all playing together again and make a run for the playoffs next year.
Sounds like Lewis had a good game. Lewis scores on a "daisycutter" -- wasn't a Lewis freekick though: http://www.pnefc.premiumtv.co.uk/today/view/breaking_news_detail/0,,10362~373751,00.html
Fee I may be mistaken but I thought PNE and Fulham first agreed to terms for @ 500K (pounds or dollars) I don't know. Then they went through the Berhalter song and dance for wages for a while. Anyway, I'd think if you rated the top three 3 flank players now for the confed and gold cup you'd probably have Lewis in there someway.
I recall that Fulham agreed to a smaller fee of about 250,000 in order to subsidize his salary for the first couple of years.
That 'daisy-cutter isn't' to be confused with the highly explosive ordnance used by the US air force.
Water finds its level....Eddie is an above-average 1st division player, who would be a below-average Premiership player....he is probably at the right level, and at his age, he is unlikely to get much better going forward.....this is as good as it gets (for the most part)... I could see him get some time in the Premiership at some point, but he is not starting Premership caliber (IMO) any more than Kirovoski (day in, day out I mean)
that daisy cutter was a ball rolling through a crowd into the far post. It was a pretty crap goal, but i'm glad that Lewis got himself another goal.
Isn't that daisy-cutter a 14,000 pound bomb? Sounds like it'll be useful to describe Gazza in China. ;-)
Nice BBC profile piece on Lewis: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/p/preston/2954473.stm
