Re: Lewis: Harrison Still a Go There's just no way that AEG will turn its back on an incredible opportunity to get another one of its concert-soccer stadiums built in such a desirable location. Even if Red Bull pulls out, I'm sure an expansion team would quickly be put into place.
Re: Lewis: Harrison Still a Go Whew............... Although that is not without reservation. I don't trust alot of what Nick has to say.
Re: Lewis: Harrison Still a Go Not really. It was a bit worrisome, but you gotta admit it wasn't nearly as much of a scare as Governor "Harrison is dead" Codey.
Re: Lewis: Harrison Still a Go Red Bull Pulling Out Of Harrison Would Be Disasterous.. Red Bull Continuing Metro"stars" Tradition. Of Stupidy, Bad Decision Making And Incompetence......
Re: Lewis: Harrison Still a Go You just do what Chivas USA does - play most of the regular season game at your home stadium and use Giants Stadium for your big event / doubleheader type games.
Re: Lewis: Harrison Still a Go Does this mean I have to calm down, or can I continue my irrational shit-fit from yesterday?
Re: Lewis: Harrison Still a Go Darn I should have kept the receipt for the rope I bought yesterday. Oh well .... Ebay to the rescue.
Re: Lewis: Harrison Still a Go It's moments like this that make me incredibly sad that there seems to be no picture of Kevin Bacon's "Remain calm!" moment in Animal House anywhere on the Interwebs.
Re: Lewis: Harrison Still a Go Google does offer up this for "remain calm" http://www.pookey.co.uk/gallery2/d/1213-3/DSCF0080.jpg
Re: Lewis: Harrison Still a Go Funny, when I need to calm myself, I like to light a candle and look at this: Ahhhhh.
Re: Lewis: Harrison Still a Go Something's fishy.. Jack Bell isn't the kind of guy who just pulls quotes out of the air... Hopefully that Red Bull also wants Harrison is the real truth..
Re: Lewis: Harrison Still a Go cool....for the time being...i still have my reservations as to what will end up being done... Man, this story -not to mention club- has too many twists and turns
Re: Lewis: Harrison Still a Go Or the one who gave Alexi Lalas a ride to the airport? Something smells like sour grapes.
Re: Lewis: Harrison Still a Go my problem with the rebuttal is that it came from big nick aka mr reliable
Re: Lewis: Harrison Still a Go Pal, he may be a blowhard but he got the stadium deal done. So he's more qualified than anyone to address the issue.
Re: Lewis: Harrison Still a Go Good point. I thought of that yesterday too. I'm not saying Jack's a stoolie. I just think thisentire saga from the day RB nought the team has included lots of media fakery.
Harrison Opening April '08 Hard date according to Sakiewicz From BigAppleSoccer: http://www.bigapplesoccer.com/article.php?article_id=5891
Re: Harrison Opening April '08 I wouldn't mind the field they have at INVESCO. But if it's pure field turf...my god would that suck.
Re: Harrison Opening April '08 I've looked at the Invesco field up close and it looked pretty natural to me. You can't spot the plastic fibers. It's generally thought of as one the best surfaces in MLS and I've rarely seen it have bad patches. The Red Bulls could do a lot worse. Now if they could only find a quality team to match the quality surface...
