Who: Seattle Sounders vs. Chelsea FC Where: CenturyLink Field, Seattle, WA When: 6:30PM, Wednesday, July 18 Watch: ESPN2 Listen: 97.3 KIRO FM Yay. Friendly. I really dislike the whole concept around friendlies and I'm even less pleased that we are wheeling out the grass overlay for this game. On the good side, there is at least one reason for Sounders fans to show up to the game, this is Roger Levesque's last game as a Sounder, so for those of you going to the game, show some love for the Stache. For those of us not going to the game, perhaps lift a beverage of your choice towards the TV in Roger's honor and remember all the good times he had as a Sounder, particularly the USL days.
In honor of the Stache, I give you Yoshou's Guaranteed to be Wrong Predicted Line-up: -------- Levesque ---------------- Levesque ------ Levesque ---- Levesque/Levesque ---- Levesque Levesque ---- Levesque/Levesque ---- Levesque --------------------- Gspurning --------------------- Come on, Roger can play pretty much every position, but even he can't play GK.
Or the night he pretty much single handidly ended Greg Sutton's career . 48 seconds my friends. 48 seconds.
Boredom reigns.. A few youtubes I found for Roger. Scuba Levesque Date with a Sounder: Lottery Levesque: Kilt Levesque
Chelsea is having a "free" practice session Tuesday. Admission is free and the northwest gates at the stadium open at 6 p.m. (practice starts at 6:30 p.m.). Parking in the north lot is $12.— Joshua Mayers (@joshuamayers) July 16, 2012
Someone needs to find the Soothing (?dulcet?) Tones of Levesque from the '10 renewal campaign nvmd I found it.
I'd like to see: ------------------Johnson---------------------- -----------------------------Montero----------- ----Fernandez---Evans---Alonso-------Rosales ------Gonzalez---Parke-----Ianni-----Scott ---------------------Gspurning--------------- Rose for Evans 45' Caskey for Rosales 45' (Fernandez to RM) Hurtado for Parke 45' Levesque for Johnson 46' Burch for Gonzalez 55' Carrasco for Alonso 58' Cato for Fernandez 70' Johansson for Ianni 70' (Scott to CB)* Depending on his hamstring and his desire to play against Chelsea Zakuani for Caskey 80' Ochoa for Levesque 90' (If that many subs are allowed)
A pretty cool slideshow for the Stache: http://www.flickr.com//photos/janegphotography/sets/72157630639530450/show/
Man. Parke is getting lit up like a Christmas tree. Here 2-0. I'm going to have to upgrade ass kicking to just straight up killing.
