How is Bochum doing so well? I thought they were supposed to be minnows and relegation candidates.

I can't wait to see the highlights. I wonder how long they can keep this up.

From most of the reports I read from Germany during the pre-season they were the favorites to be relegated.

They were favourites to be relegated together with Bielefeld. While Bielefeld needed very dubious referee decision to get six points, Bochum is currently profiting from being underestimated and the still existing promotion-run. The current ranking doesn't say anything - Freiburg once was first ranked after 5 games and relegated - but this are surely 9 valuable points against relegating. Their coach Neururer: "The first two opponents were easy and I knew that we were having good chances in Leverkusen today - they are still out of shape, in four weeks we would be without any chance here".
