Letterman's Guest Hosts Rated

The NY Post today has graded each of the guest hosts that have stood in for Dave while he recovers from his illness. I've got them all on TiVo, but have only actually seen Elvis Costello, whom I thought was excellent, and he showed you can be both funny and smart on a talk show at the same time.

Salon had a review yesterday of Elvis's hosting of the show. If I can find a link, I'll post it.

I wish I had known that Vince Vaughn was going to host, because I would have caught that one.

Howard Stern was doggin on Elvis hardcore. Said he wasn't asked to host because Dave wouldn't have anyone who might be better than him hosting.

Megan Mullaly from Will and Grace fresh off her SAG Award win is tonight's host.

Elvis was excellent. He should do a week himself. I didn't get to catch the others.

Vince Vaughn was far and away the best one out of the bunch.

Vaughn was great.
Ferrell was so-so.
Mullaley sucked.

Missed Elvis.
