Season ticket holders were invited to attend the draft, but I for one am not going to be able to go. Is WUSA going to have a website with the results?

    5. ATLANTA BEAT

Selection: Susan Bush, F, North Carolina

Credentials: Scored five goals and had a team-high 15 assists for the Tar Heels in 2002. A finalist for the 1999 Hermann trophy as a freshman, Bush tore a knee ligament in 2000 and again in 2001, limiting her play during her sophomore and junior years. Has 10 appearances and three goals for the national team.

    ----------------------------

IMNNSHO..Bush's previous leg injuries the past couple of years throw up a huge red flag.

Remember when she came out of Texas? She was projected as the "Next Big Thing" and unfortunately that never really panned out.

Are any BigSoccer posters going th the meeting? I ran into Javier yesterday, and he said a lot of season ticket holders have said they'd drop by.

I would hope we'd have good knowledge about Bush's knees... knees are of course a major source of soccer injuries... but they get better.

Callie Withers is the Beat's first pick in the first round. A midfielder out of Stanford.

My guess is to fill space and delight the fans that are there. The draft is moving very slowly...time-outs, trades, etc. They are probably doing stuff to fill in the holes...the dead space.

Nah I orginally had Ruth Montgomery going to the Beat. You have Katia Antongiovanni's bio up quoting my Ruth Montgomery post.

So, what's everyone's opinion of the picks we chose? The predictions were a bit off. I think the Beat took one of the five soccer armerica predicted that they would take.

And a question specifically for Fear... you're a Breakers fan now??
