Oh, we have one of those do we. Shows how much I follow things around these parts If someone wants to move it that's fine by me
He is such a dad's dad I don't even know if I have the word for it. People say Midwestern dad but I only have been as far as Buffalo. This Gutters and grass thing is something I run into all the time. He is the airport dad that has all the passports and immunization records and you arrive 3.5 hours before departure.
This only applies to people who have ever flown international, but this is so accurate. And before hand, he made sure everybody had their visas 3 months out.
In addition to childless cat ladies, our favorite coach surfer has also gone after childless teachers.
The damn reason we keep condoms within reach at all times is BECAUSE we teach! We see every damn day what America calls itself raising (because that's what's happening here- not rearing), and the idea of adding to that or exposing your own children to it is asinine. I've taught in six K-12 schools, three middle and three high. Of them, there is only one I'd have no concerns about sending a kid to. Of the rest, I'd go along with two more, politely reject a fourth, and I would sell heroin to keep a kid out of the last two. I wonder how this son of a bitch feels about unfurnished apartments <JDV singing Zombies> she's not therrreeeeeeee </JDVsingingZombies>.
Sounders, this is before your time, but the first iteration of the anti-gay backlash was centered on the alleged danger of allowing gay teachers in the classroom. This is a callback to ca. 1976 anti-gay rhetoric.
Not before my time at all. California's Proposition 6 (1978) is well-known, as is Anita Bryant's crusade - with the famous video from 1977:
Of course. In other news, I wrote "coach" instead of "couch". Hopefully that was spell check correcting it
I get mocked for being security dad, but you'd be amazed how many times you say something like "does your passport have 6 months validity and ...."
That is a great commercial and marketing of Walz. Brings his everyday man, Midwest dad appeal to things.
We all are news junkies here, so we can only pretend to imagine to understand what impact various memes and marketing strategies will help Harris, you know, win, vs which ones just cheer us junkies up. But to the extent I can get into those heads, it feels like the Harris-Walz marketing strategies have been hitting bullseye after bullseye.
