My wife sent me this and the white guys can ask their wives if it's true. The lady in the TikTok says Walz reminds her of the dad she lost to Rush Limbaugh and Fox News. The dad that was always a little Republican but cared, had empathy and believed in a brighter future. She says for so many liberal white women it has been so hard watching their dads become members of this cult. Being black, I have never really had to have that worry so I don't know what it is like to lose a family member to the dark side. But it seems a good point to try and get maximum turnout

Loved the kick-off event. Christ, it's been a long time since we've eperienced optimism - or to use Walz's term, joy - in a presdential campaign. It's Obama-like.

I bet Walz could give one helluva pre-game speech before those football games.

 

One of my questions was how the "spurned" candidates were going to react. Were they going to take their toys home and sulk over not being chosen?

But yeah, most all my aunts&uncles are Trumpers. Cousins are mixed. It’s a bit sad. My uncle I was closest with was a green beret and really helped establish my love of the outdoors. He got real messed up in Afghanistan a while back, and I’ve pretty much lost touch with him since Trump showed up. He was always racist and a Fox News devotee, but he really did believe in helping others.
