Joachim Löw's future will be decided in the next few days according to DFB president Reinhard Grindel. pic.twitter.com/aj3YAJDBGP— Bayern & Germany (@iMiaSanMia) June 28, 2018
They are basically waiting for his decision, it looks like nobody will fire him so its either a resignation or he will continue and in the end he will continue, i dont think he will resign and lose so much money.
DFB President Reinhard Grindel has confirmed that Joachim Löw will decide his future next week: "We agreed that the sporting management will carry out an analysis with the board next week. And then I also expect that the manager will talk about his future." #GER— Ronan Murphy (@swearimnotpaul) June 28, 2018
Joachim Löw after the return to Germany: "I'm the coach therefore I'm fully responsible for what happened and must question myself. My future? There will be talks. It will take some time and then we will figure out a decision" pic.twitter.com/UergVZOUDF— Bayern & Germany (@iMiaSanMia) June 28, 2018
I still don't understand why the team didn't go all out attack the first minute of the game, just like what they did in sweden game....loew such a experience coach surely should know relying on the outcome on the other game is highly risky. you can see they started to panic in the second half after learning Sweden had scored, I really don't know what was loew thinking, what his plan is, plus the underestimation of Mexico, I believe this whole responsibility of this failure solely on Loew and his coaching staffs.

@The Jitty Slitter Faz insider reports the following defiencies: -- the test opponents did not suit the eventual group opponents -- Merkel visiting the team camp just one day before the squad announcement -- coaches did not care about the mood within the team. Also: If you played or not was not based on performance -- Özil not having to participate in media day was a fatal signal. "If you do that then eventually just everyone will do whatever they want - also on the field. -- tensions between young players and old guard. The youngsters performed very well in preparation but in the end the old guard played (Khedira, Müller and esp. Neuer). Neuer although he went to the NT without match practice. -- old guard also behaved inapproachable and arrogant https://www.focus.de/sport/fussball...erraet-was-zum-fruehen-wm-aus_id_9197506.html
I agree it was dumb - and I wondered if that was why Khedira referenced Crisis PR - obviously media handling was stupid and got away from them To this day I don't understand why Ozil wasn't made to give one of those bland corporate apologies If he doesn't - then kick him out of the team
This is what Honigstein was talking about. It seems the real story was not the bling bling gang - seemingly an invention of sportbild - but rather a bunch of egos and no one like Schweini. Poldi or Merte to bring everyone together
I have a feeling that with the 4 year contract the penalty for firing Low costs the DFB a pile of money and they decided to keep him on for financial reasons. I have no confidence in a turn around and 4 more years of embarrassing performances. Anyone burning their WC 2018 kit?
They are making the same mistake like with Jones and the women's team. They extended her contract and then had to stick through it. Jones was fired after the team's qualifying campaign was more than endangered
That was the worst scenario that could come up. It's safe to say that the DFB is governed by a bunch of penny-pinching misers. As someone who often enjoy watching Germany play, I have to say "hello darkness".
Why didn’t he evolve with the Confederations Cup team?! And no, I really like the green kit. I still support the German NT. Win or lose.
Basically, Löw would need to pull a Klinsmann and just not call up the old guard any longer. But Löw wont do that so we are ********ed
Löw could decline to call up players without explanation if he chooses to do so. Why all the drama?! In the future, I hope he has the balls to pick the best fitting players vs the most established ones.
he had a start with leaving out Mustafi, Gotze and Schurrle but he needs to be more cold/ruthless towards everyone. He still has a favorite core of players. lol German FA official 1: Let's fire that douche! German FA official 2: Yeah, let's do it! German FA official 3: Who is going to shake his hand? (quiet) German FA official 1: Let's just keep him for now.... German FA officials: yeah, good idea...
Be interesting to see which players get cut - because then 1-2 might talk I would not be surprised if Low is one of the arrogant unapproachable people
Yeah Ive heard on a footy podcast(dont quite remember which one but the guy is closely following the NT pre Löw) saying that plan A included Werner as striker in a possession based system when Werner clearly was made for counterattacking and pressing. Like at last year's confed cup. They went into the first game, soon reailzed it wasnt working and then moved Werner to LW for a job that was actually made for Sane who sat at home cause he was cut form the squad. Blatant failure
That's what i think as well Werner failed utterly at 9 because he doesn't make the Klose type runs - he was much better at left wing. But then why not pick Sane?
This is ridiculous, he's not the right man to take a new generation forward, basically he should be booed in all the games so he resigns
