    i thought Liverpool had played on sat and that with our draw we were safe from them with only one match left...



    ... then I came crashing down to the reality that they can beat us on the last day cos their match was on Monday and they won :(

    oh well... I don't care as much about finishing above/below them as much as 7th sounds so much nicer than 9th ;)

    you guys need to make some adjustments and for Everton, we need to learn how to start a season well as it seems everton don't start playing well till a few months into the season.

    Most seasons we can blame injuries to key players for our slow starts.

    But as I recall, all of our regular starters were healthy when the season started. Of course, starting the season without Pienaar and Saha didn't do us any favors.

    Imagine if Pienaar had stayed at Everton all along and we had signed Jelavic at the beginning of the season to replace Saha.

    I suspect we could have been right up there fighting for 3rd and 4th place by season's end.

    Well, I would like to get to the point where we don't have to come up with excuses. We need to come in super focus in our pre-season training and be ready to go in August.
