His hair doesn't look quite as bad in the game i'm watching just now.
Some of those pics make his head look way more egg shaped.

So what is his role? We don't buy players that expensive to sit the bench, so who is he replacing? Arshavin? Nasri?

For me, Walcott needs to play. The counters we could produce with Gervinho and Walcott on the wings could be really special.

    Gervinho-------- Walcott----

    -------- Van Persie----------

    ----------Nasri--------------

Big fan of Gervinho and the thought of seeing Gervinho and Theo run past defenders on the counter is freaking exciting. He can score, pass and run. Big fan of this signing.

The champions league game from this past year at Shakhtar is the only example anyone would need to justify why Walcott needs to play. His goal was purely awesome. Such great confidence, he took the shot from the break away from like 20 yards out. Plus he buys into wenger's system

orbinho had some stats on our wingers.. walcott created so many more chances than anyone else. it was scary. more than guys who are potential signings as well.

It's nice welcoming a player whose dream is to play for Arsenal. I hope he reminds some other players of how good they've got it.

Honestly I'd like to see this for a counter... That would be pretty serious.

Pumped about this signing. Can't wait to see him terrorizing fools down the flanks.

I don't know what to think. Mainly because I don't know enough about him to have an educated opinion. However is he the main signing required to get Arsenal Football Club back on track?

No, but he's a good start. We need better wide play and he looks to be an instant upgrade, which is all I really wanted.

    Welcome to the Arse!!!

Is Myachi likely to get a work permit this year? Will he stick with the club or go on loan again, I haven't really paid attention.

Will he be an instant upgrade? I doubt so, despite having impressive stats not many people following the Ligue 1 rates him highly, just like how not many people rate Arshavin or Walcott highly despite their high goals and assists return. He looks very much little more than a depth signing at the moment.

Those in the know rate him very highly... most credit his play for Lille finally coming good last season despite all the talent on the roster... sound familiar at all? He's direct and strong, and does those things we all want Nasri to do, and Nasri doesn't want to do run hard at the goal, etc. IF and big if Nasri wants to play in the Cesc, or God role, we needed to pick up a player like Gervinho.

His been steadily been improving for years now, and this is a good move for him. Better team better opponents. He might fail, but it won't be from not having the tools.
