I couldn't help smiling at the pictures of gerrard houllier looking glum as ******** after being dumped out of the cup by a reserve Portsmouth side, surely it's the end of the road for the dog eyed french git now, I hope they get stuffed in europe this week then that really will be their season over... and the end for Toulouse Le Plot..

Should there be an (R) in this still?

I agree with you though that the end of Houllier cannot come soon enough. He was reasonable for the first couple of seasons and god results.

But now he's a parasite in this league, plying his boring football, making stupid excuses and comments about other teams and players, and of course spending millions on rubbish french league players - who he could only sign because Wenger didn't want them.

I feel sorry for the Liverpool fans who have wanted him out. They deserve better than this.

You don't know how badly i've been wanting Martin O'neil as our manager now for the past year.
We have got no urgency, we're 1-0 down, and we are stull playing boring as football, Owen was on a break, he passd it back, and within three seconds chris Kirkland had the ball, how does the ball go from an attacking break to the goalkeeper that soon?
It's like Houllier doesn't dare get wound up and passionate about it anymore, i love seeing managers, like steve Bruce yesturday urging his players on, yet he just sits there. If it is the heart op thats holding him back, then he shoudlnt be managing a football side in sunday league, let alone the Premiership!
And Sarki, STFU, what are you some sort of bitter Evertonian?

Bitter Evertonian, don't make me larrf, I hate them more than Liverpool, goggley eyed ex knobender as manager, I'm a Blackburn fan you knob jockey, I hate Houllier for the way he cowardly attacked Lucas neill like two days after the event, it was an obvious ploy at deflecting criticism away about his shyte mangerial skills

( enter a bitter red to berrate Souness, here it comes)

Any manager is going to be bitter when a prat like Lucas Neil consistantly makes the tackles like he does getting away with it, and then Houlliwer ends up with two of his first team players sidelined for half the season, it doesn't take a genious, let alone a Blackburn fan to realise that...
And when you say 'Cowardly Attacked', what do you expect him to do, run on the pitch and start slapping Neil like Frenchies do.
He told Sounness that he wasn't worried about the tackle by Neill, after Sounness rightly appologised for it, but that was when he didn't know that Caragher was going to be out for 5 and 1/2 months.
And why would he need to 'deflect criticism' after we won the match?
Go and calm yourself down, drink a pint of gravy or something.....

Well, we got this match on TV here in States, and on this point and I would ask, "what about the captain?" Would it be fair to say that Gerard is the heart-the pulse of the team? I think it falls on him to go to the whip drag the side across the line-Keane does it, Vieira does it. In fact over the weekend you could see this when Ferguson but Keane in against Leeds-quick change in attitude.

Some of the buys he's made...well, I think he takes heat for that and maybe as happens in sports, a manager loses a dressing room. But when it comes to heart and intensity, I put that on the players.

Jese, can you northeners read properly?
My first post in this thread was saying how i wanted Martin O'neil as our Manager, and how we need some urgency and passion in our team.
Of course i'm going to defend my team when someone is critisising them as bluntly and unfriendly like as you are. Do you have socialising skills up north?

seems odd that someone who supports a northern team is calling northerners, I take you are not from the north then, shouldn't you be supporting naaarwich,,,

And another thing... (you got my goat :) )

I felt sad for Houllier-there was a shot of him looking so gloom; the bags under his eye...

Oddly enough, I was loading the 2001 FA Cup to burn the highlights on to disc, and look at him in 2001

No what i'm sayingn is that Blackburn is further north than Liverpool, and as i live in Norwich, i havce the right to call someone from Blackburn a northener.
How can you even talk about what Liverpool haven't won?
League Champions 18 times... what about you?
European Cup 4 times....Ever heard of Europe?
Fa Cup 6 times, same as you....
    League Cup 7 times.... Pardon?

A season-and-a-half wherein Liverpool plays its worst football in anyone's memory... and yet, both seasons, Liverpool finishes above Everton. And will next season, too, even if Owen leaves.

And it's not like Sarki's team is winning anything. Otherwise he wouldn't waste our time.

I would take it personally Sarki, if you knew anything about football, yet due to the circumstances, i can just laugh. And er yea, i'd rather be in the position when we have been the best team in Europe four times, and won the league 18 times and close to fourth place, than 15th in the league facing relagation and to have won the Premiership once.
To be perfectly honest, i've had more exciting and intelligent arguments about football with my little sister, who's seven.
If you want to sit staring at your computer screen daily, looking for arguments on a friendly message board, then good luck, i'm sure that will be, urggg, fun!
But to be honest with you, you are boring. Slating other clubs that aren't even your closest rivals.
Is your only argument 'we've won the premiership' because if it is, then i don't think much of your knowledge about footy.
The only evidence you've shown for being so aggressive towards a liverpool man is because of the way our gaff dealt with a leg breaking challenge. I'd like to see how Sounness would react to the same thing happening to his players.
You're picking fights like a spoilt baby.
Get a life mate, stop acting like the stupid hooligans who are coming close to getting us chucked out of all major Tournaments.
They're the type of people we need out of football.
I mean yea, i love the rivalry aspect of the game, but your'e just taking the piss with your stupid nitty witty pointless comments.

Coming from someone who would like to see one of our best home grown talents exported abroad, making the demand for our football less?
    Good thinking Bat Man.

What, you can accept the truth about Liverpool's failure to live up to expectations, but not the fact that that failure still means they're higher in the table than Everton? Don't see any arrogance when it's all true.
