You know, that imbecile United_-whatever troll actually had the right idea.

He said we were "gloating" which, clearly, we weren't. Fact is, we were pretty depressed.

But the more I think about it:

    WHY NOT???

The Filth fans are all beside themselves, panties all twisted, tampons way too tight, about the result. That we didn't "earn" it, and that we didn't "deserve" it.

    Well you know what???

    WE DIDN'T!!!!!!!!!

We got a point we didn't deserve in anyway against the biggest bunch of bowl floaters in the league, and you know what I have to say about that??

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

You guys were cheated. Plain and simple. Robbed. Rogered. Greased up and used like a five dollar hooker.

You douchebags can't even beat us at your place. What a bunch of losers.

    Bunch of pantywaists. Eat it.

    Dorks.

We got a point. You stink.

It is pretty nice to not lose when you are playing away from home and you are down 1-0 in the 90'th min.

I'm sure it feels much better than not winning while leading 1-0 at home in the 90'th min.

    Why yes, quite enjoyable, actually.

What a shame that, despite playing a horrible, frightening train-weck of a team at your own building and scoring a goal after only four minutes that you ended up only getting one point.

Let's see if I have this right:

    Score: CBus 1 - DC 1

CBus: No wins in five games

DC: One win in six games

Oh yeah, easy to see how DC is far and away the better side.

Is there a history of retardation in your family, or do you just smoke crack?

Isn't Rimando or Rimsmanho or whatever his name is winless against the Crew?

Like I said in the other thread, I laugh as much at that PK as I did at our team; now thanks to the genius of Archer, Hang and Splarg and other class acts around here compared to some Scum troll I can come back to this thread whenever my life is crummy (about every 30 minutes, my guess) read this and have a laugh at the scum.

Who was the first to coin the term DC Scum anyways?

When a team gets a result (and usually a tie on the road counts), they're entitled to gloat.

The irony about this match is actually, both supporter's teams should be crying in their beer. DCU should have taken the full 3 points. But the failure to do so probably means you're stuck with Andrulis for longer than if y'all had lost (let alone if you'd lost 3-0 or 4-1).

    1) No, I was told the "change" was in the works before the match even began Saturday
    2) You're right, both teams' supporters should be drinking & crying.
    3) Crew had plenty of games stolen in the final moments last season--games that we actually were the better team for 80+ mins. Karma? Yin/yang? Soccer gods? Whatever...get over it. It's just as fair that we tied Sat, as when the last minute wins were against us. Anyone recall that Stoitch dive for a PK last season?
    4) Crew BEAT DC in the Carolina Cup, and now tie at RFK. Don't worry your pretty little head about our coaching, you should be worrying about your own.

BTW- I would take Marshall over Adu any day of the week. Nothing against Freddy, I just think we got a better all-round player at a better price.

You forget that Freddy's going to move on, and DC will get a cut and a huge allocation. Marshall's great, don't get me wrong, but he's not moving on to Manchester or PSV (or whoever the rumored team of the week is).

It's one thing to start a thread because you played better and tied a game. It speaks poorly of your team when you are bragging because you know you stole a match - and you're all excited anyway like a bunch of prepubescent girls watching Newsies. :)

    for meida coverage? nope.

right now? to win games? totally. Freddy sells tickets. He's "developing". Its like what's more important, winning games or "developing Freddy"? I am one of the "must win games " types, and think that because we HAVE to play freddy its like playing with 10 and half players. He has potential, but did you fellas notice him getting pushed of the ball a bunch? Not saying he was fouled, he's just not big enough to hold the ball.
And when Heydude went down, i had this creepy flashback. Towards then end of last season, Hristo has the ball, gets in the box, and goes down like he was shot, gets the pk. At the time I was like "hey, anything to get a goal."
When Prideaux put his hands on Frankie, I knew what was going to happen. :(

    In order:

    1) A "huge allocation" is just a "major allocation". Period. They're not pro-rated. If Adu goes to a major club for big money, DC will get the same size consideration as we got for McBride or Metros got for Howard.

And since DC traded a "major allocation" to Dallas for the draft pick used to grab him, it's pretty much a wash, Corky.

    Sorry to burst your bubble.

    2) Marshall has already attracted interest from overseas. If he develops as most observers in MLS believe he will, he could be gone before Adu, who isn't likely to leave before he's 18, making it four years from now.

The POINT, dumtard, is that RIGHT NOW - TODAY - ON THE FIELD we, and anyone else in the world, would rather be sending Marshall out there than Adu. Ditto Dallas and Gibbs. Heck, most DC fans are PO'd that Freddy is even playing, much less starting. You won't find any Crew fans griping that Marshall is in the first eleven.

And as middleman helpfully pointed out above, little Freddy is holding down $350,000 worth of your salary cap and contributing nothing much to speak of on the field. Marshall is making, I believe, around $50,000 and is making a huge contribution..

As for a year, two years, five years down the road, lots of stuff can/may/could/might happen. I can't predict next month, let alone 2006, and neither can you, despite what you think.

Actually, we played WORSE and tied a game.

You need to buckle down in English comp a little bit and learn to read for COMPREHENSION.

    1) Nobody is "bragging. We are "gloating". Wallowing in shadenfruede, actually.

    2) We didn't "steal" a match. Prideaux's horrible decisions and terrible skils gave it to us. Big difference.

    3) We are, however, gloating and gleeful to see YOU guys all bent out of shape. We aren't winning games, and aren't likely to win many, but seeing you guys suffering - man, it's just a lovely thing. I can hardly wipe the grin off my face.

Well Bill, why'd you do it? Now we're going to get Freddy Trolls too. BRILLIANT.

Remember it's the same people with the intelligence that when we started a thread about Freddy Garcia they complained because they thought they were going to get to jack to Freddy info and they were mislead. Those are the people your bringing over, Bill. I hope your happy.

Oh and Freddy is P-40 so the player with the biggest paycheck in MLS doesn't cost DCU anything on their salary cap right now, same as Marshall with the Crew.

Plus if Adu does lose his P-40 status next year, unlikely since P-40 status also comes with a college fund and that had to be a good pitch to Mama Adu, he'll be a max salary player, but max on the salary cap is 280K. Of course Chad Marshall WILL NOT be P-40 next year and WILL cost the Crew 50K next year.

No I haven't forgotten that Freddy is going to move on, but you're counting your chix before they hatch. Freddy is on DC's roster for a few seasons before he goes. He will have to live up to the hype before the EPL will fork out the big bucks for him. Still, I wish him well, just not against us.
IMO Jackrock's got it right. He's selling tickets wherever he plays, but he's like a half-player right now that you have to use. Exactly why I would rather have Marshall. We had McBride, he sold tickets. He got Crew media attention. I would gladly trade that for some real hardware. Don't count on MLS giving you the big bucks for Adu's transfer either. I hear we never got much for Friedel, John, or McBride. Hopefully we'll get an excellent allocation player in return, but I'm not holding my breath. We couldn't even get Gibbs last season and he WANTED the trade!

I also think you're jumping the gun on your assumption that Marshall will not get attention from overseas. The kid is 19 and holding his own very well on a disorganized team that keeps changing it's formation. I think it's probable he will get serious attention if he keeps this up.

So you think we are the first fans to enjoy taking a game from a rival? "Speaks poorly of our team"? Get real! What threads on what boards have YOU been reading? I guess it speaks poorly of your team that you came here and gave a D@#^... and also that you would know anything about Newsies.

Jackrock- I agree that Freddy is developing. Frankly I'd like to see him blossom into the "next Pele". Good for the reputation of American soccer, good for our Nat'l team, and good for continued media attention that MLS so sorely needs. (although I always wish him poor luck against Crew). You mention how he is not big enough to hold the ball. I disagree. If you will compare Freddy's size and weight(5"8" 140) to Beasley(5'7" 137) Vaca(5"6" 130) Cobi(5'7" 145) Chung(5'7" 150) M. Owen(5"8" 147) or even Billy Thompson(5'6" 140), I think you will see that at his size he should be able to control the ball just fine. I think it's more a matter of experience and skill at his age.

Same thing w/ Marshall. Hope he's fantastic except when he plays us , then i hope he sucks.
didn't know that size wise Freddy matched up like that to other players. But haveing watched all DC's games this year I have seen that he is fast, he has moves, and he gets brushed off the ball on a regular basis. Can't say that about Owen, Chung, or even Beasley. Of course they aren't 14.

Beasley has learned/improved much since he started in MLS. Martino(5'10" 144) is still learning how to keep the ball while being hip-checked. Freddy will learn too. I just wonder how smart it was to put him in with the pros this early...and now Nowak is pressured to use the kid for TV ratings and ticket sales. I think Bradenton and Nat's jrs would have been a wiser choice for the next couple of years. Why rush him and jeopardize so much?
