Greenie continues to provide Rapids fans with the most off-season coverage and insight. I really enjoyed the Magic 8-Ball piece that appeared this morning. I encourage everyone to give it a read.

    Thanks for your persistence.

    Bonji,
    I ... (i cant say it) ...I ... (uhhhh) ... I agree.

Thats it. The guantlet is thrown. Two rapids fans agree on something. Buy a lottery ticket and watch for lightning.

    Thanks Greenie. Good job.

Good job greenie. That is some classic stuff. The magic 8 ball works everytime, but maybe for the next article you could use the jump to conclusions mat?:D

    Wow............that's insightful.

For a guy that registered over five months ago, and has a whopping 8 posts to his record. You think that when you sacked up and wrote something that it would have more content than that.

Doesn't need more content then that....Don't you think if Greenie had more positive things to say about the Rapids he would still be involved with the team??

So sorry I don't spend my life on Big Soccer idolizing people like Greenie!

Considering the deplorable state of the Rapids website, sites like Rapidsfan.com are a decent resource for fans looking for preseason information. With the exception of an occasional article in the News or the Post (and those have been pretty sparse this year) or articles in ussocceruk.com, I'm not sure there is all that much news to report. Oh, and the Rapidfire emails, which are a decent resource for those that get them.

We all disagree with Greenie (or with others) on this site all the time for different reasons, but we might as well give props to someone who does a creative good job.

If you have something personal against Greenie, I don't think this forum is the best vehicle for your venting. We'd rather not hear it and just talk about the Rapids, for better or worse.

So either be a cheerleader, or don't be a rapids fan. Good logic.

This was just a thread to say we appreciated Greenies extra work as a Rapids fan.

What have you done lately Mr. glass half full? Climb back under your rock, its all rosy down there....

Regardless if you disagree with Greenie or not Greenie is a great source of information. I certainly appreciate all of Greenie's hard work.

This doesn't have anything to do with idolizing anyone. Regardless if he's "with" the team or not, we still get the majority of our info from him (instead of waiting days/weeks for the major papers to cover it).

I'm not hoping for you to be a bazillion post-a-day guy (especially if that's all you bring to the table). But to just basically come just to bag on the dude.................that's weak.

You might want to find out how long and what Greenie has done as a Rapids fan before you maske statements like that...

Where does Greenie get the information?

What I want to know is where does Greenie get his information? If you ask someone who works for the Rapids they will say that the information that he posts on his site is incorrect!
Who is his source in the the Rapids?
    What makes him the expert?
Obviously somone in the Rapids organization gives him bad information or information that is not exaclty correct. Meaning...maybe certain details he gives are not the final decisions being made?
Or they give him wrong information to see where it goes! Maybe they are making him the gosip in the hopes that it sparks attention.
So instead of kissing his butt and making him out to be a oricale! We should contact the Front office to ask information of them instead...just a thought!

    And I'm sure that we would be getting the correct information from them too..........{insert some smirking smiley face thing here}

So either be a cheerleader, or don't be a rapids fan. Good logic.

Oh...please...have you not read the negative posts that Greenie puts on these boards stating how horrible the Rapids front office, coaching staff and website is.....ThAT IS NOT BEING A CHEERLEADER...

To be a Rapids fan, shouldn't you be positive about the Rapids??????

Re: So either be a cheerleader, or don't be a rapids fan. Good logic.

You wouldn't happen to be one of those people that thinks being patriotic means never questioning your government, are you??? ;) Being a fan doesn't mean you sit there and take whatever the team gives you. A bit of active analysis and disagreement is part of what makes being a sports fan fun!!! Or haven't you ever listened to any Sports Talk Radio. Talk about negative!!

Besides, the piece that Greenie just did on Rapidsfan.com was subjective, just a fun piece of speculation and writing, using the magic 8-ball as a prop.

I don't always buy what Greenie says on rapidsfan.com, I'm not sure anyone here does, but I read it, just like I read Rapidfire or any other news on the Rapids because I enjoy it and I enjoy different perspectives on it. I'm a fan.

If I want the facts, I'll go to MLSnet.com or the Rapids official website (oh, wait, can't do that....)

We're all looking for something positive to talk about regarding the Rapids. Since we can't really see the Rapids play quite yet, we talk about the administration. There have been a lot of things happening (or not happening) that have been hard to take. Greenie takes time out of his schedule to put up whatever info he can find in a vehicle of his own choosing. This thread was created to say thanks.

There have been numerous threads, usually with a reference to sheep in them, that you might find more suitable.

When we have the opportunity to see the Rapids play this year, you will see how we get behind them. For right now, its not all rosy. Its like supporting the national team. We don't always like Arena's player selections, but when the whistle blows, the players are playing for the US, and thats all that matters. Don't expect Greenie (or any of us) to be mindless cheerleaders until that point.

Bucky L, the biggest tool in the Colorado Rapids forum.

No one doesn't have to be positive unless there is something positive to discuss. So until the organization gets some accurate info to the fans we will just have to speculate and be negative.

Greenie has been far from a mindless cheerleader in all his time here, and we are certainly not kissing his a$$. In my opinion, the important question is: What have YOU done to promote news/discussion of and about the team?

    Ever?
