What a f’ing mess! I wonder why OM and Olympiacos couldn’t get their shit together. Who was being difficult? Did OM not have a recall clause and were trying to break it, angering Olympiacos? Or was Olympiacos being difficult with paperwork on a early loan release? So many questions. Hull were left at the altar by simple administrative procedures that should have been easy to complete. Now Konrad will be forced to look at other leagues who have windows open. Turkey comes to mind. There was interest from Turkish clubs before and their window is open until Feb 8th.
Just try to make anyone in France to work 5 minutes of overtime. They might have submitted it in time, but everyone had already left.
Very good news. Much better than going to Saint-Ètienne. PS: Oh crap just read the last page. Bummer.
Meanwhile, another deal involving a Chelsea player looks to be at risk of collapsing. Sources tell ESPN that Hakim Ziyech's potential loan to PSG appears to be off as it was determined the clubs failed to register the move in time. Another victim
From Francophile to Francophobe: Konrad de la Fuente remains stuck at Olympiakos (olf Olympic Marseille)
Konrad wasn't wanted at Olympicos since September and he hasn't been wanted at OM since last year. This is a deal that should never have waited until deadline day. It's telling that they waited until January 31 to try to push this through.
What went wrong --- from Hull's perspective: https://prosoccerwire.usatoday.com/2023/02/02/hull-city-rosenior-konrad-de-la-fuente-transfer/ Umm, sure... Asked if Olympiacos were unwilling to part with a player they brought in on loan, Rosenior wasn’t quite ready to say one way or another. “You’d have to ask them. I don’t want to get involved,” said the 38-year-old coach. “Yeah, it seems that way, because he’s a good player. So yeah. But look, I can only give it from our side.”
Konrad de la Fuente still of Marseille, has now changed agents to Interstardeporte, a Laliga based agency. He has sustained many links from the past to mid table top-flight Spanish sides pic.twitter.com/ToS4Jg0zeg— Joshua N. (@joshua_reports) March 13, 2023
Honestly can only improve things for Konrad, while there have been questions about Konrad's work ethic, I have questioned who was advising him when he took thr Olympiakos loan and also when a new opportunity didn't materialize in the winter
Wait, what? Now I'm the set-up man? I thought I was supposed to get all the laugh lines here. Let me go look at my contract ...
Andouille know if this new change in agents will get Konrad out of Dodge? Okay…okay… I’m done. That’s my only contribution.
