We will know by December what KDLF really is. Can‘t get time with Barca. Got it. Fine. Can‘t stick with a very good Marseille last year. Got it. Fine. If he can‘t make a mark here on at least a semi regular basis then we have a problem.
They're a typical Greek club though, prioritizing defense. If Konrad wants to succeed, he's going to have to learn to mark his man well. They've been trying to improve their attacking mentality, reason why they have hired Spanish coaches of late, first Óscar García, and now wunderkind Carlos Corberán who is a very attack-minded coach. Corberán is an interesting guy with interesting ideas, but before being assistant to Bielsa he had never managed much success. After, he took the Terriers to the promotion final they lost to Forest, and after he quit to get his best job so far: coaching a top First Division club, Olympiacos. So this is the trial by fire for both, Konrad and his coach.
Mor was - is - a certified headcase with discipline issues. KDLF just isn't acquiring positional discipline and tactical understanding. Or am I missing something about him being nuts on or off the field.
The former coach of Marseille, did say something negative about how he was in training. He is similar to Mor, because he has good ball skills but isn't a very productive player.
When Marseille fans saw his moves, they said now we know Messi isn’t the best technical player in Barca. But all those fancy footworks didn’t turn into goals and assists. That is the problem. If he can resolve that problem, he would be a Vinicius Jr.
I feel like he started so well at Marseille last year and then he just fell off a cliff. I really hope his level turns out to be higher than Greece.
Freddy Adu NEVER did anything like that at Arris. Everybody is so down on a young kid with this type of ability, don't understand it.
If he becomes a productive starter this year, all of that will flip back. But that's easier said than done.
