    Les Verts pistent Pauleta

    http://www.equipe.fr/Football/20050429_112919_01.html

Under contract with the PSG until June 2006, Pedro Miguel Pauleta was still not expressed on the orientation which it wished to give to its career. International Portuguese did not still prolong yet with the Parisian club. What to poke covetousnesses of which those of Saint-Etienne, where the recruitment of the attacker could be, according to "the Parisian one", one of the priorities of the intersaison.

President Bernard Caïazzo never hid his admiration for Pedro Pauleta. Ensured to see their club being maintained among the elite for several months, the leaders inhabitant of Saint-Etienne have worked to reinforce their group for the next season. "For Elie Baup, the ideal at the post of centre-forward, it is Pauleta", would have entrusted a source close to the file.

Only shade in the table, exorbitant wages of the player (160.000 euros). "If the enrôler could, it would be super. One looked at the figures and it is expensive for us ", continues this source. The PSG, eager to make a financial transaction with its attacker high-speed motorboat, and Saint-Etienne could find an area of agreement on the amount of the transfer. Especially that president Francis Graille ties particular relations with the club forézien of which it had failed to become the president before joining Paris.

Yes, it is true, we do need a faster motorboat. I heard Graille wants to race down the Seine with it. ;)

In French, vedette means someone famous but it also means a motorboat or a swiftboat (don't ask me why...). That's why this word might have been misunderstood by the translation bot since I guess vedette was the word used in the original article.

    Entiendes :)

A sucessful season to say the least. A newly promoted side, we made it to sixth place, and we were still in contention for a UEFA Cup spot until the last game of the season, with the fourth fewest losses in Ligue 1. I'm definitely looking forward to next year. It's hard for me to get info on these guys (considering I can't read French), and they're hardly on FSC, but I'm definitely cheering them on.

    Allez Les Verts!!!!!

On the Fox Sports Report on the Fox Soccer Channel this week Max Bretos picked them as his most surprising team in Europe this year. He talked about how they were newly promoted and didnt spend a ton of money and still got to 6th place. He forgot to mention that the structure of the French League probably wouldnt allow them to go crazy and spend tons of money but thats another story.

Wow, I hate Max. He probably pronounced the name wrong as well (I shouldn't get mad about that, I used to do it as well). Anyway, I think that's one of the more obvious choices in Europe, moreso than Everton (and possibly Sampdoria).

Max used to announce the French League games. He's clearly still a fan of French soccer. He gave props to St.Etienne on his little show that he does. Cant really get on him for that.

    Yeah, I'm not complaining.

I know Christian Miles does the games now, but I can't tell the difference between the two.

Bretos or Miles are ok ... the other day, it was the spanish speaking guy that does the Argentine games ... was ok too ...

but you should have the option to turn off the commentaries and just leave the crowd/game sounds ... makes sense to me.
