Renard has said that five of the six players will be on the bench today.
So Le Garrec who played 66 seconds against Austria will be a starter but not the other five players. Expecting an XI close to this:
Peyraud-Magnin; Perisset, Lakrar, Cascarino, Karchaoui; Geyoro, Le Garrec, Majri; Becho, Dufour, Mateo

France qualify for the Nations League finals. Semi-finals at home will be played at Groupama Stadium in Lyon. FFF had originally announced the game to be played in Sochaux.
Second game will be away to Spain or Netherlands. France as host has already qualified for the Olympics.

no problem for the "white wizard", commando mode :ninja:, just change your white shirt, jump on a plane, coach Monday night's match against Senegal and qualify the Ivory Coast, and more if you like, then come back with full of money and a little more tanned , just in time for the OG women Nations League qualification, what else ? (don 't forget your toothpaste)

On vit une époque formidable :ROFLMAO:

At least the FFF came to the conclusion that it was not a good idea to loan him. But it is obvious that he will take over an African team after the Olympics.

Yeah Renard has always said she was one of key players for him especially in the transition game. With Katoto and Cascarino back in business, France will certainly look better attacking wise during the Olympics in comparison with the 2023 WWC.

And the Hervé Renard effect has worked. First ever tournament final reached by France. Very much the underdog in the final as Spain looked good against the Netherlands

Unchanged team for the final and 2-0 defeat:

The important post-game analysis must find out which players were out of depth and therefore should not play in those big games and those who are simply out of form. Some of the subs might have been more useful as starters and I also noted a lack of attacking options on the bench.

Latest squad for the first two Euro 2025 qualifiers against Ireland at home and Sweden away.
Wendie Renard is back from injury. Renard has selected 24 players and it will be tough to get it down to 18 for the Olympics.

Samoura and De Almeida out with injuries.
Le Guilly called up from the u-23 squad.

Amel Majri not called up. She complained on tv about it

Her performance have not been great since she came back from maternity. Some fans have commented that she was used as a marketing tool by the FFF to promote the fact that they were good to mothers bringing their kids with the NT.

His name is not in the current shortlist.
But Renard was not either in the original one when Diacre was sacked.

Starting XI in the 2-1 away win to England. Karchaoui played in midfield.
Also 9 of the last 12 goals scored by France were scored from set pieces action.

For me, the strongest team was the Lionesses, most beautiful moves on their side. Better organization between defense, midfield and the front line, Hemp in fire and De Almeida always late on her. France fortunately reacted after the english goal, trying to cut the fast transitions between english lines. It's funny because Lionesses supporters think the english midfield was poor, with especially an ineffective Stanway - Walsh connection, i think exactly the opposite as the french midfield seemed overwhelmed : Toletti was not fast enough, Karchaoui is not a midfielder and was a bit lost, Dali was the best but ... alone. Henry 's sub was good, but she hasn't anymore legs for 90 min. Geyoro missing is a big issue.
Les Bleues finally won with their main asset, on set pieces, clinical in the box \o/ \o/
    Good job frenchies ! :sneaky:
But it might not be enough this evening against the English who absolutely need to win...
    Allez les bleues !!!
