    Fun fact:

France have the reached the quarter-finals of every tournament since 2009 ( WC and Euros)
Not the Olympics as did not qualify in 2021. Did SF in 2012 and QF in 2016

It probably stings even more that they basically have nothing to show for that achievement. :coffee:

Another quarter-finals failure for the team. That's 7 times out of the last 10 tournament. The fans that have been blaming the coaches for all the failures are annoyed because Renard got full power and working conditions and still failed.

It has to be said that he hadn't very much time to prepar this World Cup, had he? :coffee:

Especially considering that he was completly new to women's football.

    B***Sh*t !!
I am not at all annoyed
    - HR took the team only 4 months ago, he did no worse than Diacre who had more than 5 years to achieve something.
    - Diacre with a complete team of her choice (except Katoto after the first match) failed in SF last year at the Euro (and i don't even speak about her pitiful coaching at 2019WC). HR missed 5 players he wanted, includind 3 injured just before the WC start (D.Cascarino, Henry, Jean Francois ), not lucky
    - I am not sure that Bacha, Lakrar and Renard injured just before the start or at the beginning of the WC would nave recovered quickly and been avalaible to play under the ridiculous very light Diacre 's staff
    - And do you know that must of players don't like Diacre ?

"My" bleues at the world cup
    +++ : Becho
    ++ : W.Renard, ELS, Lakrar
    + : Diani, Bacha, karchaoui, S.Durand
~ : De almeida, Dali, Perisset, Cascarino
    - : Toletti, Geyoro, Peyraud-Magnin, Majri, Mateo, Asseyi

Becho looks like a future great player.
Happy for Lakrar who showed some nice moves
The old ELS and Renard as the bosses
Expected more from Diani (but she was not 100% fit)
Toletti almost invisible, like she has never been in her world cup
Very disappointed by Geyoro who is usually very good :(
Not surprised by the Peyraud-Magnin 's performance, France is sorely missing a great goalkeeper.

A positive result for Hervé Renard who, despite all hazards, "headwinds" and his short experience with the team, managed an honorable course.
This french B team ends at QF undefeated.

Since you are rating just 18 players, I assume the other 5 didn't see the pitch (or only played a few meaningless minutes)?

Four players from the World Cup squad miss out: Lakrar (injury), Toukara, Dali (injury) and Feller. Coming in are Le Guilly, M'Bock Bathy, Henry, Jean-François, Dufour and Baltimore.

France called up a 26th player GK Marie Petiteau who will stay for 3 days before going to Spain with the U-23 who will play the newly created unofficial u-23 League organised between 9 nations.

Jade Le Guilly pulled out of the squad due to an adductor injury and will not be replaced.

The last player to arrive in camp is on her way as she is flying from LA.

Two wins at home to Portugal and away to Austria. Six points. The football played is not great.

TV right for the Euros 2025 sold to TF1 for the French market for about 20 Millions Euros as per l'equipe

Weather in Oslo is cold. Likely 1 or 2C maximum during the game. We went to the MD-1 training and the ball did not bounce a lot on the artificial pitch.

On matchday, Ullevaal Stadium is natural grass though. I read you're going to the game. I hope you're dressed for the cold conditions. :coffee:

Big up to the Lyon fans who made the trip to Oslo and made some noises.
2-1 win away and first capped Julie Dufour had a good game.

Last squad for 2023. Picaud, Toletti and Baltimore injured and unavailable.
Perisset and Dali called back. Katoto called up for the first time under Herve Renard.

Should France beat Austria they would win the group.
