I don't know what to make of this signing. We really don'y need him but he is a good team player. It reminds me of when Milan brought back Donadoni in 98'/99' and won the scudetto. Hopefully Leo will have the same effect.

And thats an Understatement if there ever was one. I dont think anyone could of predicted this one. Anyone know how much the move cost milan and what he will be earning?

I thought he had retired, so I assume he was a free agent and the "transfer" cost nothing. Don't know about the salary - can't imagine it'd be that high. Might be incentive or bonus-based, depending on how much he contributes.

In fact, I believe the only transfer currently allowed are free transfers since we are outside of the transfer window.

just rememberd players carnt join a new club outside a transfer deadline. so it seems he must of been a free agent.

I believe Leonardo has an Italian(maybe Portugese?) passport so he isn't considered non-EU. And he came on free from Flemengo after his contract ran out so he is allowed to sign for Milan.

He DID train/play with Milan this past summer when they toured the States.

What a week, we say goodbye to Boban and welcome back Leonardo! One of my favorite players ever :).

I wonder if Abbiati will give him the #18 back since he is wearing it in honor of Leo.

    I am shocked!!!

But now I'm worried. How bad is Sheva injured???

Is this a move to insure that Pippo doesn't get too tired during the long season??? Why won't the Dane get a chance??? And will Rivaldo be able to play like he did at Barca???

Still...its a good time to be a Milan tifossi...Forza Milan!!!!!

Perhaps he's being brought back for lockerroom leadership skills as well as to add depth to the squad. From what I've read he wasn't very successful in Brazil so I don't think he's going straight into the first team.
