They ended up losing that one 2:5.

Maloney starts today away against a certain Scally and P-Funk of BM’Gladbach.

Seems Gregg is holding his beer today at ‘Gladbach against Heidenheim. Three yanks in the game.

Out at the half. Underwhelming IMO again. The guy just can't seem to play a forward pass of any significance. On a related note, I am not sure I have seen a DM that gives as many directions to his players WRT where to pass.... and it seems like a large portion of the times he is ignored. Strange. Is that on purpose? AAR... I am not at all impressed with him. The team as a whole almost always passes the ball backwards after a turnover and then pass it around the back until one of the CBs attempts a long pass.

Big upset against Stuttgart and Maloney went the 90 in a 2:0 win. I didn’t see it but sounded like there was a lot of ‘hitting the aluminum’ for both sides. Heidenheim sitting 13th in the table. The little club that could will still need some luck to stay up, so these 3 points were big

    Assist:

There's the connecting hit! Beste brings a corner from the right side. Maloney extends with his head and Gimber just has to hold out his foot.

They trail 2-1 in the 62nd.

Maloney twisted an ankle and had to come out in the 68th minute. He was able to walk, but limping badly on the pitch. Hopefully mild, but get some ice on it, young man.

Well, the Maloney injury wasn't so bad as to keep him out of the starting lineup. However, it may have contributed to perhaps his worst match of the year - bad stats plus an own goal as he mis-clears a cross right into his own net after either a tiny deflection or anticipation of a deflection by the two guys in front of him throws him off.

Heidenheim hold on for the win, Maloney subbed off in stoppage time. Gutsy, probably outplayed victory. Nice bounce back for Maloney after his last couple of outings were bad.

Heidenheim came back from 1:2 to win it 3:2. Maloney came off at the 75’ mark and both comeback goals were scored afterwards. This team is now top 10, which is nothing short of phenomenal. What a fairy tale story for the club so far this season.

Really good away draw for the little team that could. Mahoney went the full 90. And yes, he ran. At some they showed the stat he had ran 9.7 km and next closest guy was at 8.9 km.
