I recently came across a Lego design of Fenway park... http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=108779 And I began wondering if there were any LEGO soccer stadiums out there. I cam across a few. http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=48072 And this gem.... And this one.... So I was wondering, if there were any more pics of Lego soccer stadiums ou there. In addition, I was wondering if any of YOU were planning on building a Lego soccer stadium? I would love to see the Westfalleon (Dortmund) in Lego. What about you?
That is freakin' brilliant! I would love to see these paired up with Subbuteo, although it wouldn't really be to scale.
Check out some of these designs..... no soccer stadium though... http://www.burikmodeldesign.com/Sportsstadiumsmainpage.html
Kaiserslautern had that done with Fritz Walter Stadium. http://www.swr.de/regionen/kaiserslautern/legostadion/index1.html Click the link "Das Fritz-Walter-Stadion aus Lego" on the right for more pics. Details include absolute gems like a functioning floodlight, one Lego person being used for every fan, the late Honorary Captain Fritz Walter's seat remaining empty even in the sold-out Lego stadium just as in the real stadium, little speakers that play the songs sung by fans at the Betzenberg...this is probably the greatest Lego stadium ever constructed. Of course, the city paid for it as a prestige object. The whole thing used about a million Lego parts and weighs a ton, with no word on the cost.
This is fantastic. That Kaiserslautern stadium is something unbelievable. I would go to that city just to check that out.
Build this, with a Subbuteo pitch on the inside ... I'm amazed our boy Paul hasn't done this already.
Yeah that's what I was saying earlier. Build a Lego stadium to go with Subbuteo, and it will truly be the best thing. Ever.
As Lego is a Dutch (or Danish, I can't recall exactly) company, none of this surprises me. Still very cool through...
Glad you got inspired to do something productive. As a youth, I was big on Legos. I would build stuff for hours. But I can not beleive some of these creations that can be currently made with the help of Lcad on the computer. wow.
Take a look at this realplayer file, an animation with lego figures about the 1954 germany:hungary final in bern, sounded with the original german radio comment. movie Some more information and the movie in divx or wmf on this site: info
