I don't know won't his wage demands be a little high. Other than that I would think he would be a good adition to the squad.

Actually this isn't too crazy. Fowler has actually been linked to New England over the past year. This is primarily because the coach of the Revs, Steve Nicol, is a Liverpool legend. He'd be a good signing for a year or two.

A word of caution, though, my Toronto friends. These older players have predominantly been a bust in MLS. MLS is a very physical league demanding very athletic players. Imagine playing games in Dallas, LA, and Houston in the middle of summer. Chicago, DC, and KC are hot hot hot too. After about 5 minutes Fowler would collapse.

Yeah but he would have scored a hat trick in those 5 minutes so i think he would be an inspiration (definetly better than beckham!!)

Legend indeed but, as much as I'd love to see him in a Toronto shirt, I can't see it happening - Beckham Rule or not - as rumour on this side of The Pond is that he's on his way to either Rangers or Sunderland. One last pay-day with a top UK side or semi-retirement in MLS? Money aside (he doesn't need it) why swap, potentially, Champions League football for a retirement home in MLS?

I hope I'm wrong but I just can't see 'God' coming/going to Toronto.

I think he's be more than happy to do so for an opportunity to share the pitch with such a 'Ledge'?

As for Clint Eastwood's comment "After about 5 minutes Fowler would collapse.", he's never been a box-to-box player so the physical demands of MLS wouldn't pose any problems for a penalty area predator like Fowler. Against such weak opposition (MLS isn't exactly the Premiership or Champions League now is it?) Fowler would score a bucketload .... but it's just speculation, nay, a dream.

Here's one that might be plausible .... Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink who's just been released by Charlton.

He's 35 but would, I'm sure, form a formidable front pairing with Big Dichio?!

If Fowler was fit, he'd be a good signing but we're already paying Dichio a hefty salary to fill the same role. This won't happen.

    Next!

Maybe after his Rangers contract expires he might swap the SPL for MLS?

And where better than Toronto? By that time Dichio will be just a memory, albeit a seminal one.

As a life long Liverpool supporter I would simply cream my pants at the potential of Liverpool getting Fowler, it would be simply a dream move but by the looks of things it won't happen so I am not getting to high about it.

Fowler isn't a target man, now in his career he is fox in the box.

I'll start by saying I am not a Fowler fan in the least, but acknowledge his finishing abilities and how much he'd improve our team.

With that said, there will be many other suitors for him, he will demand an absurd salary, and I really don't think we need more strikers. If we're going to splash the cash in salary or a transfer, I would hope it's at CB. We don't need 50 strikers.

He wont demand an absurd salary, he's filthy rich as it is, he'll play for fun.

Fowler would do a good job for some team in the MLS.

    Oh really?

Hey, my 5-a-side team could use a striker! Maybe he can come play for fun! :D

Not at all. Wales, Scotland, Ireland - all Celtic nations, all on good terms with each other.

england is the natural enemy of the Welsh, Scots and Irish - especially when it comes to football. To be proudly Scottish and support an english team is a joke.
