They are putting a 40 mil tag on a player whom they currently don't rate enough to give meaningful minutes? If the price tag is more about his potential, why don't they just loan him out and keep rights to him?

Dortmund sounds like the best choice, seems like the best bet to make a name for yourself as a Korean international is to do well in the Bundesliga. Salzburg is understandable b/c he would probably get playing time and the club's goal is essentially to develop and sell their players anyways.

Yup Dortmund would be the most ideal destination. They have a knack for developing young players such as: Dembele, Sancho, Pulisic, and Haaland. Also a little off tangent, but I remember when there was rumors of Dortmund being interested in LSW when he moved on from Barca. What could of been for him.

Leganes holds off Valencia 1-0 with 1 man down most of the second half.

Ferran’s horrible corner at the end after taking it away from Kang-in about sums up Valencia’s season.

Lee Kang-in rejects contract renewal with Valencia

Lee Kang-in of Valencia FC, has asked for a move again. The Superdeporte, a local media of Valencia, reported Monday that Lee has recently turned down the offer for renewal of contract with Valencia and wants to move to a new team.

The 19-year-old South Korean midfielder has attracted the interest from a number of European football clubs after winning the golden ball for his major role in helping Valencia win the second place in the 2019 U-20 World Cup in Poland last year.

Peter Lim, the owner of the Spanish club, was adamant that Lee must stay, but the South Korean didn’t get many chances for appearance. So, Lee requested for a transfer last summer, but the club rejected it as Lee was “too important a player for the future of Valencia.” But he continued to be sidelined in the start-ups, prompting yet another speculation for his move to a different club.

Recently, the Spanish club sacked Albert Celades for poor performance and put Voro Gonzalez at the helm, but Lee didn’t get the chance to play in the last two matches under the new manager.

Lee’s contract to Valencia expires in 2022. If any team proposes more than 80 million euros (108 billion won), the Korean midfielder could move to different clubs within the term, but such a prospect is quite murky for now. If a prospective club and Valencia fail to reach an agreement in numbers, Lee will likely turn to other options including lease before moving to a new team.

[El Gol Digital] | RB Salzburg are currently leading the race for Lee Kangin (이강인). Kangin, who recently handed in his transfer request, is reportedly keen on leaving Valencia. Salzburg are currently looking to fill the holes left by Haaland, Hwang, and Minamino.

Valencia is asking 40 million which is kind of silly. They should let Kang go for 20 million. BVB has shown interest. Probably the best option. I don’t think Salzburg has that kind of money.
