I believe it's time for Lee Kang-In to get his own thread. Can't believe this shootdori kid is playing professional first team at Valencia and looking fantastic. I remember when some of you would post grainy videos of this kid running around when he was 3 feet tall. Would never have imagined something like this happening. Involved in 2 goals and 1 official assist against Getafe CF.
This kid might be the best prospect we've ever had. ever. immense hype but clearly talented at his age.
I would actually say the impact SHM had on fans during his debut preseason and stuff was greater than LKI. But I agree LKI seems to have a higher ceiling. It's actually fcking incredible a 17 year old is doing this shit.
They should make another season of shootdori. Maybe some other teams will look for the next LKI. Strengthen Hallyu and Korean football? Good shit.

I'm too lazy to go into vcf.com and search for the og interview, but yo marcelino is quite some philosopher, the dude's changing the way i think about youth football entirely

This is the #10 we need. With the clinical finishing of Son/KCH, the CM potential in WYJ/PSH/HIB, Korea has a bright future in our attack. Now for the defense... Also if LKI isn't in the senior team within the next year or so I'm gonna be f.cking pissed.
Also - although Valencia are having a crummy season, they're the 4th biggest club in La Liga by $$$. We have a 17 y/o on a top spanish club full team.
Crummy season maybe, but they're in the semis for the copa del Rey and they're not that far off from a top 5 finish.
17 and already playing for the first team, him, Son, and Cha Sr. are the only three from our country to even have started playing in Europe/first team at that age. Lee Kang-in was smart to snub Real Madrid, now he can truly play and develop at Mestalla that he's always been dreaming of, and to top it off, he wants to play for the national team.
Ah, yeah you're right, I was confusing his move to Europe with playing for the U-20 team. Anyway, Lee Kang-in and Son are the only two to sign and play for a European club at 17.
Yeah, his career with Valenciennes went to shit and hit a hiatus, then when given the opportunity to revive his career with the London Olympics and exemption, he already gone for oil money when he could've waited afterwards. Lee Yong-jae too, another useless reject who got both the exemption and the opportunity to play in Europe at 19, but career went to shit. These two are not worth mentioning lol.
