All I'm critiquing is that we shouldn't permanently bar the kid from the NT and instead properly administer a proper punishment for adding to the disruption of harmony in the locker room. Just don't overreact and start thinking we can only improve from here without him when our football scene is a beggar for talents. If he can't properly mature and reflect on himself, then yeah he will likely do more harm then good anyway, so if it gets to that point then go ahead, tell him to f*ck off to Europe and focus on his career all he likes.
Still though, this mob rally joining on the hate bandwagon needs to stop. This just shows that Korea hasn't changed much and likely will continue to socially decline. https://www.allkpop.com/article/202...onal-team-controversy-and-advertising-fallout Yeah.... As much as LKI should reflect properly, I do wonder even if he comes in with reconciliatory gesture and heartfelt apology, netizens will even be satisfied. On a second thought, I do wonder if it would be better if he just go ahead lay low for now and focus on his club football career. I absolutely hate Korean cancel culture especially, because something like this can be resolved in better ways, not keeping on feeding the bonfire. Again FU*K the KFA and FU*K JMG. Typical Kkondae looking for a scapegoat for their failures.
It's just a shitshow right now, everything to do with KNT. All the Bento haters really need to re-evaluate what he did for us. Sure he kept dying on his sword with certain players but his overall assessment of our talent was sound even if the football was boring. And in hindsight perhaps he was trying very hard and knew to hold back with LKI because of his ego. His comments def speak to it. The players respected him and his staff as well - as we were reminded by the reunion in Qatar. Bento's term was easily 2 thumbs up.
I'm hearing that his sponsors are trying to nullify their contracts and get refunds. then, there are other crickets making noise as expected...
Whatever "power" they might have is only limited towards celebrities with fame and reputation that can be used against them if they are slightly out of order in any way. Against the people that run the entire show behind the curtains? Lmao either they will bend the knee or be lead astray easily with a convenient diversion like right now. Seeing how these netizens are getting bent out of shape by investing all their emotional energy onto this, I have to wonder if this is a form of an opiate for these people to cope with how miserable their lives really are. They keep citing Korean cultural respect blah blah blah....but let's be real here. What this really is that there is some inherent case of inferiority complex in Korean society that have people who elevate celebrities to unreasonable levels idolatry. I mean if they commit some minor offense like this, it should be as easy as just disengaging and simply no longer refusing to invest your time into them at worst. Yet making a public/online outrage out this and ruining a young prospect with potential like LKI? The cultural excuse angle just makes us look like unforgiving anal retentive cu*ts. Even after many years, the fact that there is not much improvement in this cancel culture BS even in Korea is quite disappointing to say the least.
Saw both the Instagram posts from SHM and LKI. Now hopefully K-netizens can get off his back now. Time to focus on the bigger fish to fry. The KFA sh*t scums.
LKI flew all the way to London to see and apologize to SHM. Do you think LKI would've done the same thing if it didn't go public? Nah. SHM accepted his apology, so nothing we can say anymore, tbh. Hopefully this was a blessing in disguise for LKI to be a better human being to lead our NT in the future.
Personal problems were resolved, and should have been addressed and fixed internally to begin with. Ideally speaking, Lee Kang-In's alleged deficiencies as a professional and a teammate should have been not the topic of gossip for the entire nation. However, the reality of the situation is that Lee Kang-In's level of fame and attention (or anyone for that matter) can and will be used against him by those with an agenda. This was not the first time, nor will it be the last. If the media can get extra views, protecting the mental well-being of an athlete will be way down their list of priorities. The higher-ups will use players to deflect blame. All Lee Kang-In can do in this less than ideal set of circumstances is set higher standards for himself, and let the volume of his positive actions wash over the mistakes in his life he will inevitably make. That alone will not fix the issues of those around him, but I hope he can rise above that. It is why we follow sports. It is why people do not love those in power, even though the acts of Chung Mong-Gyu often have greater impact on Korean football than the actions of one footballer.
would not be surprised if Klinsmann was the leak and JMG, not letting a crisis go to waste, jumped on it using it as a smoke screen to make an escape plan. whatever the case, he sowed the seed...now let him reap the bounty.
Man, so the great captain wanted to show who's king and made LKI come see him to apologize. I really didn't like his note either, implying he did no wrong by saying he'd behave the same if the same thing happened again. BUT This should be over now, time to look forward!
Yes because he was bullied into it by kkondae Korean culture, corrupt KFA and the captain who wouldn't step up.
lol why would Son stand up for him when LKI was the one who ruined the team spirit? This has nothing to do with kkondae culture. If you disrespect a captain even in a PL team, you will get into trouble. Suck him all you want. He was the one at fault. Also, I don't understand why you are blaming things on SHM. If you want to find someone else to blame other than LKI bc you are his fanboy, CMG/KFA is your guy.
