Well, looks like Lee Chun Soo finally got his chance to go to Europe. Personally, I think more Korean players should join the Dutch League as it seems to suit them very well. He's pretty lucky to join a big Dutch club like Feyenoord IMO.

    Best of Luck.

"Giovanni van Bronckhorst is also said to have a liking for Lee." :)

I'm pretty happy Lee's at Feyenoord, although with our current strikers he definitely won't be first choice, but hopefully he can play enough. It hurts that we won't be playing in Europe this year, as that would have given him more chances to play. I look forward to seeing what he can do.

Yeah he aint no striker. Feyenoord would be prudent to use him either down the middle or potentially as a winger only because he can shift on the fly (he's fast). His crossing leaves a bit to be desired though but he's got great ball skills so maybe he'd work on getting in more.

He's up there in my opinion with Nakamura in taking pentalty kicks. You will not question his heart because he gives it his all, and anyone who's been following his career in the last 2 years or so can tell you he's HUNGRY as hell.

    I hope he proves well.

Well the Feyenoord article mentioned he was the striker van Marwijk was looking for, which to me was odd as well. He'd probably play behind Makaay or with all our wingers being sold he could play out there as well. It will be interesting to see where he does end up. Our midfield is actually pretty strong.

Lee Chun-soo is a striker. He plays AM only as his secondary position.

He can play anywhere except CB and GK, but his original position is really FW in a top-two system. Perfect example of a small striker in a big and small partnership up front.

I have no idea which idiot first came up with the idea of using him out wide. Only time he should be used there is if he's being used to cut inside to score goals.

yea he's better center. I think its done on KNT we're got too many mids, not enough wingers so their put LCS on wing

This guy has balls, heart. This guy is on his way to success and Feyenoord will be the place where he gets the first taste. Even if he wasn't a football player, I think this kind of a person definitely will almost certainly succeed in life.

He just never gives up, and I think Feyenoord is just the right kind of club in terms of every aspect to regain his confidence and forget about his past failures in Europe.

one of them would be Mr. Hiddink. That is, if you can say that one of the wing forwards in 3-4-3 is playing out wide. But hiddink's wing forwards, is as you say, likes to cut inside to score goals.

I think Lee CS's success depends upon his integration to the team. I dont like this guy, and would assume he would suck, but given that Ono had such a success, there is plenty of chance that he will succeed in Feyernoord. The best part is that lower dutch teams give him lots of space, (unlike top class teams) and he can frankly tear it up against lower class teams. But if i was the coach, i wouldnt play him in higher-class euro teams.

On the other hand, Song CG, who is at least 15 times better than Ono, came back after some success. Most attribute his failure to not adapting to the environment. Lee cannot just think about playing in England, and learn English. He needs to learn dutch, just to show that he loves the country and show he is trying his best to integrate.

Players that were used as wing-forwards by Hiddink weren't exactly used as "wingers" with exception of Seol. Park Jisung, Lee Chunsoo, and Cha Duri all spent a lot more time running around in the center of the pitch than they did out wide.

Lee Chun-soo plays his best game when he's being used up top, paired with a big target forward with physical presence. He played his best football in 2005 K-League season when he played up top next to Machado.
