Just reported on ESPN's Outside The Lines (with our favorite ex-soccer pbp guy) that Lebron James has signed a deal with Nike, reported to be worth around (insert Dr. Evil voice) 100 million dollars. That's a lotta moulah.
In comparison, adidas got a bargain having Lebron as their de facto hoops spokesman the past couple of years. Plus, Sonny Vaccaro comes out of this as the nice guy who stuck around Lebron even though there was no way adidas was going to be able to sign him (partly because of the hype Sonny helped create).
On the Sportscenter bits on ESPN Radio they are reporting that it was a 7 year/$90M deal with a $10M signing bonus.
