Liverpool have agreed a deal for Argentina midfielder Leandro Daniel Somoza who will sign for a fee in the region of £2million. The highly-rated midfielder currently plays his football with Argentine outfit Velez Sarsfield but will arrive at Anfield in time for the start of next season. Rafael Benitez has been tracking the 24-year-old for some time and believes he will add more quality to his midfield as the Reds boss looks to try and close the gap on Chelsea next season. The arrival of Somoza could spell the end of Dietmar Hamann who could now be forced to look for another club when the transfer window opens. Somoza will be the first of many arrivals at Anfield this summer as Benitez looks to strengthen all areas of his squad. Source - http://www.eatsleepsport.com/news_details....&l_id=1&t_id=44
That link doesn't work. Is Didi on the last year of his contract again? I was wondering if Rafa would re sign him or if he would want to stay.
Didi won an extension of one year by playing enough games for us this year. It was a contract clause. Even if we did sign the Argentine ( and this web site is notoriously crap) it does not mean Didi is leaving.
Good. Didi has done an excellent job when called upon, but its been less and less lately. I wonder if he is content with his role in the team or if he would want to go back to Germany were he could probably play regularly.
That's true for a few players on the team. I have a question though (if anyone can answer it). Who are the other players that will probably leave the team over the summer transfer period?
