He’s still not practiced with the team, and seems only to have done gym work. There seems to be an outside chance he could play in an Aug 25 league’s cup final.
Did anyone else watch the Colorado vs. Juarez match? It was extremely entertaining and Colorado moves on. Chris Armas has really turned things around, Colorado was last in the Western Conf. last year, sitting in 4th place currently. Now they have to face Toluca.
I know leagues cup is essentially a made for tv product but MLS has to be unhappy with the attendance at these games. Many of them, including against the Liga MX opposition look like an MLS game of 2012 with half full stands.
Can you feel the excitement?! Here’s the crowd at kickoff for tonight’s Leagues Cup game between the #NERevs and #NYCFC pic.twitter.com/fLHOkC3XYa— Seth (@SethMan31) August 9, 2024
Probably not The best fans in the world. Congrats to @NERevolution on the biggest crowd in club history! pic.twitter.com/oIhlNHXmSi— Don Garber (@thesoccerdon) April 28, 2024
They'll probably restructure this tournament next year with San Diego coming in, if they have it given the busy summer of CWC and the expanded gold cup.
It was a tweet from april The business metrics outside the league's Cup attendance is pretty good still
The date of the tweet/“X” was April. @ColumbusFTW posted Dong’s tweeX to point out Dong’s duplicitous nature.
Yes, it was pointing out the hypocrisy. I'll never miss a chance to do it. There have been a slew of games in recent years, even in MLS play, where Gillette looks like it did yesterday. Yet Garber never mentions how badly Kraft has mismanaged that market, nor will he talk about how still playing on that turf in 2024 is unacceptable. He hasn't even chastised Boston's civic leaders and voters for not rolling over and writing Tuggy Bear a blank check for a new stadium. He just logs on to claim the Revs have "the best fans in the world" because 50,000 people bought a ticket to watch Lionel Messi. It's kind of hard to walk back "best fans in the world" less than four months later.
LAFC v Austin the other night at BMO Stadium did not look good crowd-wise the other night. Was very sparce for an LAFC match.
I will possibly go to the Crew-Miami and the rest of leagues cup. But beating SKC again didn’t seem like a good use of money.
Fun yes but for 300$ it’s steep and extra from the season ticket. How come dynamic pricing doesn’t drop the price for certain games lol Im just not happy with the price of my tickets in section 140 when I wanted 138. The seats in 141 are substantially cheaper. They told me i would be in 139 because 138 was sold already. I love the Crew so I’ll get it figured out but i can almost never get a hold of anything and my ticket reps keep changing which is annoying. Idk who mine is at this point.
Because: As Tall Chris points out, the game was sold out. If dynamic pricing had been in place 10 years ago, we all would have won. That sure didn't look like 20,397, but as we know, there's a difference between sold out and a full house. Having it in the season ticket package definitely helped.
No i get it. My normal ticket price for my two seats is 300$ I’m glad the fans showed up. I also had a free ticket offered to me , I just personally pay for what I want. This game wasn’t it for me for multiple reasons.
