Here's the full doc: https://mlssoccer.app.box.com/s/np9w1o6fcqhlqu31th1q4p93ee2tqhx2/file/1598277044619 page 12. section 5 sub point D "For the 2024 edition of the Tournament, Columbus Crew (as the MLS Champion) has the right to host until the Final even if their opposing team is ranked higher, and Club América (as the LIGA MX Champion) will advance directly to the Round of 32 and will have hub privileges until Semifinals."
Austin has played pretty well but couldn't cash in and got beat on the counter twice. Josh Wolff is to blame, naturally. Because you already know.
crazy game between Miami and Toronto so far. So wild that it may well benefit the survivor of Crew/KC.
This game is on a Friday. If the frakking league would just promote the Open Cup, we could have similar attendance, but nope. They can't be bothered. But sure, NBD.
Dang. It would have been great to host them and toast them in the quarterfinals. I wonder if Pachuca’s players and coaches caught an intestinal bug from eating queso at their Austin hotel…
Make it 3-0 in the 29th minute. WTF lol Edit: 4-0 after a lovely counter and backheeled transition assist
Seattle rolling LAG Down 3-0 LA brought on Miguel Berry and Isaiah Parente to try and bring them back.
No. They only lost 1-0 and no throwing up on the field. They sold their best player after beating us, and have taken a definite step back early in the MX season.
https://www.leaguescup.com/competitions/leagues-cup/2024/matches/clbvsmia-08-13-2024/ How concerned were we about this game vs Miami being in Cleveland? It'll be in Columbus. As a matter of fact, tickets are on sale now at very reasonable prices. https://www.ticketmaster.com/league...lumbus-ohio-08-13-2024/event/050060E98C461402
Fascinating to see a couple things looking at Ticketmaster. The number of opt outs is pretty high. Lots of tickets available from the Crew. The ticket brokers that are trying to flip tickets at double or more the price is wild. There are thousands of tickets available and they are still trying to double or triple their investment. Hope they end up selling for pennies in the dollar.
