Leagues Cup is part of the MLS season now and any fair evaluation of Ian’s performance would include it. Everyone was genuflecting on the greatness of Messi when he joined Miami and they proceeded to win Leagues Cup, and now it’s just a “little distraction”?

It's [the Super Bowl] not must win; World War II, that was must win. -- Marv Levy

And, I'm not captain obvious, I'm command sergeant major self-evident. :)

we’re in the Quakes forum discussing soccer, I hope you’re not confusing this conversation with far more serious and consequential matters.

I don't follow handegg, how many Super Bowls did the guy who said that win? I'm guessing either the most Super Bowl wins in history or 0.000 Super Bowl wins....

One of the great movies of all-time. Cautionary tale about taking sports too seriously. :)

Indifferent owner pairs well with indifferent fans, I suppose.

I think so too Don, mostly because there has been "improvement" and it won't cost much to sign him to a 3 yr contract and bypass the whole "international" search for a new coach.

Ian will probably win the wooden spoon and still get the job.

I’d rather he had to earn it. “Interim” should mean that this is a trial run and this hiring decision will be based on actual results but you’re probably right.

Quakes do an “international” search without the “tiona”. Like when Internationalization was shortened to I18N…
