Arsenal lose which is nice. But where does that leave us in terms of securing a top 4 spot? IF only we had a better manager we would be challenging for the title. We have the player imho - amazing squad. I think our problems are in that our manager lacks experience and we do not have the consistency.

Good to see Palmer back. Nice depth on the bench with Josh at CB.

Which Chelsea will show up today?

Not the good Chelsea so far. Very flat. Is this the start of the seasonal dip in form

Maybe, but i think the return of Cole Palmer will save us and our manager too much embarrassment.

We have players with exceptional talent that will bail us out. Despite the lack of good management.

    65%

Forget we have been out shot 10- 3, 4-0 on-target shots, saved by VAR and their misses and Sanchez, because we have 65% possession my friends, that is right 65%.

Thankfully Sanchez is seriously on his game

The only plus - he had a good game - and a clean sheet.

It is like Deja vu all over again...

Those who don't study history are doomed to repeat it, those who do study history are doomed to helplessly watch it over and over and over.

Year 3 of the Enzo Maresca annual drop off a cliff sequel, 2 points out of the last 9. I am going to start saving for that Conference League away trip to Kazakhstan.

We cannot keep changing managers every 3 months or we'll end up relegated.

We have exceptionally talented footballers that will bail us out. Despite the lack of good management. Enzo Maresca has had 18 months as the manager of Chelsea. He had 12 months of management experience before that. 2.5 years total experience as a football manager. Some assistant management jobs before that. IF this Chelsea team is to get to the next higher level we will need a better manager with much more experience. We have an exceptional squad of quality young players - the best young players in the world. We have a manager who is costing us points with his his poor executive decisions. He seems like a nice enough bloke. We will keep him until the end of the season. But if we get an opportunity to get a top manager next summer - we should take it.

    O
I am not his biggest fan but one thing I will say about Maresca is that he does seem capable of learning from his biggest mistakes. Some examples.

Not panicking when we go down to 10 men.

Preventing panic from long throws by taking men out of the penalty area.

Mixing up long balls against the like of PSG and Arsenal.

He just needs to find a solution in games against the likes of Leeds. I think the answer involves not aimless slow passing.

Yeah, you might be right about Enzo. I do not dislike him. But he is not a great football coach - an innovator - he is Pep light. He sticks to playing the same way. He is stubborn. The formation and style seldom change - even us fans see that there needs to be an adaptation. Against Leeds - why not 4-1-4-1 or something? or 4-4-2?

why not do this against the likes of everybody?
