I'm not too excited about this one. They need the 3 points so they have to go offensive even though its a road game which means they should go with only 1
DM and not 2 and that could cause problems for them. They really are in a tough spot here. Its possible they realize 2nd place is out of reach and could be trying to play for the draw and 3rd place. I dont know how they are looking at it.

Or I hate Niang too much or I think I'm getting pissed for nothing...

44',he gets a clear ball, can run and shoot...and he kicks the ball away without entering the box.

    Come back,Cissé.

2:0 for PSV. Well...PSV midfielders looked physically superior to Marseille's. Ben Arfa lost many balls as well.

BTW, Mandanda is having a good game.

    We deserve it.

3 matches,3 games that we lost too many chances,3 that we lost because we didn't had the mood to score,or someone who could spot the ball.

    What a shame.

Yep. Ben Arfa was crap. Niang was crap. Ziani..didn't do much. Bonnart seemed to pop up a lot, so maybe he was good. Mandanda was good, yea. Just a poor performance overall. Only way to salvage anything from Europe this season is to win against them at home, then get another point or three later on to get into the UEFA Cup.

Its looking like they didnt need to sign Kone when they had Valbuena already. Its amazing how a player like Ben Arfa can look so good one game and be invisible the next one. When I saw the starting lineup it looked good so I think this loss is soley on the players and not the manager.

    Agreed 100%.

Koné is a good player?Yes,but we make too much and score nothing.

Both Ben Arfa and Koné set up some chances,or give it to Niang. And all them can't put the ball in.

It would be better if we bought a nice striker than another OMF.

Niang can't score,so we use...Samassa?That's the problem,we don't have a good name to do that.

Bad recruitment by Diouf and bad move to allow Cisse to leave. He deserves credit for signing Ben Arfa but nothing else.

    I was thinking now

I don't like the idea to get the UEFA spot being 3rd.

Like,we still have CdF and Ligue 1. WE'll get nothing at UEFA Cup,like last season.

It would be better to focus totally at Ligue 1 and try to get the title.

Marseille never refuses to play the European Cup. The fans won't accept it.

Plus, we need UEFA points to keep our 4th place before Rumania and Russia.

Totally agree. Time to knock Lyon off the perch. Start w/ PSG this weekend.

at this point their european ambitions are over even for uefa cup, its time to focus on the league, so far we are undefeated, need to work on scoring and winning.

it seems they are incapable of killing two birds with one shot, might as well focus on one. then when they are ready, give it try
