I like the idea and we need the thing they're trying to achieve. It's not to compete with Liga MX but rather to supplement it by giving Mexican players a high level league where they can play if they're not cut for or given a chance in Liga MX. Right now there's nowhere for them to go. Liga de Ascenso has always been a joke, teams and franchises moving, closing down, etc. It might seem at first that if a player isn't cut out for Liga MX then tough luck they're just not good enough, but we have enough examples of players who suddenly made it in Liga MX after playing out of sheer circumstance, and they were coming from the lower divisions. Hector Herrera was playing third division soccer at 21. This season we got back Erick Sanchez from Liga de Ascenso and he's been our best midfielder. In Liga de Ascenso he barely even played. So long as they're trying to fix the #1 problem in Mexican soccer I think it's worth supporting. If they fail they fail.
